It's never too early to introduce your children to God. Also, about a previous post - Purpose Driven material was NEVER MARKETED. It became a #1 best seller all by word of mouth. Not to mention Rick Warren (the Purpose Driven author) has not changed his lifestyle due to his new wealth, no longer accepts a paycheck from his church, paid back all previous paychecks to his church, and is a very generous charity donor.

Anything Purpose Driven has a good Christian foundation. And like I said, it's never too early to introduce God/Christianity to your kids.

Written by Amy Warren Hilliker (daughter of Rick Warren, author of The Purpose-Driven Life), Little One, God Made You is short and simple. The theme is that every child is a unique creation of God and that "God made you to love you, little one."

What I Like: The illustrations by Carol Thompson show babies and toddlers of various ethnicity playing, sleeping, cuddling...often with a parent. The illustrations are playful and colorful. The message will inspire good self-esteem and a loving feeling toward the Lord. The book is only 10 pages, which means even the youngest child should be able to sit through a reading


What I dislike: The text is in rhyme, but the rhyming isn't perfect in one spot. I also admit that when I first purchased this book for my daughter, I wasn't the least bit impressed. But my daughter really loves this title; she asks me to read it again and again...and now it's grown on me, too :)


Overall Rating: Very Good.

My daughter and I love this book. She is adopted from China and I love how the pictures are of children of many different races. I think the reviewer that had negative comments had not read the book. It doesn't say anything about a baby's purpose in the book, it only says that God loves them and that they are very special from their "tiny nose" to their "squiggly toes". I am ordering 4 more to give as gifts.

This is a great book for little ones! I read this one to my little girl every night. She can recite it now. :D It is great for little ones to understand the world is bigger than they are, and that they are a part of God's family, and His love! I highly recommend this book! I order this one and the other one, "Little One, God Loves You," for every body I know that is having a baby!!

I bought this book for my baby, now 11 months old. My two older children love this book too, ages 4 & 6. We can never tell our children they are special too often and this book lets them know God loves and values them too! The book is nice and sturdy with big, bright pictures and I'm sure it will survive many years in our house as a favorite.

This is a sweet & short book about how much God loves your child & how special he or she is. There is one page that appears to have a picture of a Caucasian father with an Asian daughter, which is really neat! Our son is 22 months & loves reading this book before bedtime.

Some things can be taken too far. Do we really need a Purpose Driven Baby book? I never was a fan of the marketed-to-death Purpose Driven brand monster to begin with, but this is just absurd! Do our babies really need more purpose in their lives? My one-month-old has her hands full just trying to keep a full meal down without spitting up!
