I bought this toy for my 22 month old and she just loves it. She laughs when the seal slides down his slide and squeals. The noises aren't to loud and it's very cute to look at. She has the Little People house, garage, bus, fire engine, fun park, discovery city and mini van, but so far this is her second favorite (behind discovery city). I can see her playing with this well beyond 3 years old. In fact, her 9 and 6 year old cousins love all of her Little People toys! All in all, another good product...

We love all the Little People sets. This one was one of the first (we got three together in the beginning) for us. The boys both decided that in order to put the creatures in their pens they had to first swing the doors open (it's not necessary; you CAN just reach right in). This set helped them learn stuff like that. Hit the lever to watch the monkey jump and say monkey sounds. Push the button to make that blasted bird sing. They love it all.
I like to set this one up on their dresser. It'll stay intact for quite a while. They'll look at it and point and talk about it. They can reach it, but they also seem to like looking at it set up. When it's down on the floor, man, the zookeeper winds up driving the firetruck while the dragon takes residence in the polar bear exhibit.
I like (although am slightly puzzled by) the fact that the potentially quite scary lion and polar bear sounds are obviously some guy going "rowr." The kids seem to know it's not real and tend to smile about it.
It's a fun set. The videos are fun to watch, as well.
You can't go wrong with this set for a gift or for your kid.

PS My friend's daughter has this one and just doesn't play with it. She suspects, wait for it, that maybe girls don't like it as much as boys. I doubt that strongly because I like the set and I'm, well, a girl. Anyways, I thought I'd add that in just in case you were looking for a bit of the precautionary.

I got this for my 2 year old son for Christmas and it was a huge hit! Both he and his 8 year old sister enjoy it. He has the Discovery City, the Farm, and the Circus Train set, and I think this one is his favorite! At first the growls of the lion and bear scared him- but he got over that in a day. He plays with it daily! Our seal does not really go down the slide- just falls off, but otherwise no complaints. He has the extra accessories and he can put the fence together easily. Just got it for a 3 year old neighbor girl and I hear she and her 7 year old brother play with it daily as well. Another great FP toy! Highly recommend this one!

The little people toys are great and cute and some even very educational but this one isn't the best. The parts get lost easily and it chews through batteries. When we got this toy it ended up getting shoved aside and the animals that came with it are now bath toys. In my opinion there isn't much to do and once you push all the buttons a few dozen times it loses it's appeal quickly and doesn't get played with as often anymore. My daughter is one that plays with all of her toys equally and goes back to the oldies that she has and my step son is the same way but this one fell to the bottom of the toy box not to be seen in 6 months.

My daugther received this Little People playset for her second birthday and loves it. We have a toybox full of Little People playsets and vehicles but this is a favourite because not only does it feature animals but they make sounds as well!

The zoo has lots of fun activities for my daughter - the monkey going up and down, the seal sliding down the slide, the lion hiding in his cafe. It is very easy for my toddler to activiate the animal noise. The fences it comes with are easy for my toddler to attach. Having recently visited the zoo she loves to pretend she is now the "zookeeper" feeding the animals and mimics the animal sounds.

As with all our previous Little People purchases we have not been disappointed. They are bright and colourful, easy to use and hold for small children, extremely durable and easy for me to wash as the need arises.

I highly recommend any of the Little People products - durable and fun. A toy that we'll be keeping for the grandchildren in years to come.

I just bought this toy a few days ago to keep at my house for my... twin nephews. I babysit them and another... boy and they all loved playing with this toy. I was looking for a toy that would be safe and fun for the babies and fun for the toddler too. This definitely fit the bill! They especially love the growls of the lion and polar bear and mimic them, as well as the elephant sound too. I plan on getting the additional baby zoo animals for them too, but the store I bought it at didn't have it. I would highly recommend this to anyone! And I love that the sounds aren't too loud or obnoxious, that's really important to me when buying toys. I can listen to this toy all day and it doesn't get on my nerves.

I just got this toy for my 9 month old son. He loves animals. He loves all the sounds that the animals make. Most of them seem some what real, EXCEPT for the Lion and Polar are just some guy roaring. He really likes the animals and their sounds. I have playing with him.

This is a first b-day present for my son and by far it is his favorite. He loves the 'roar' sound that the lion and bear makes. It is the cutest thing to watch him open his mouth wide with a return roar. He gets obvious pleasure out of playing with the monkey and dances to the bird tune. We all love it.

My daughter got this for her 1 yr birthday and by the time she was 14 months, she knew all the animals and their sounds! She even hums like the bird, growls like the bear, makes the sea lion, elephant, monkey, and roars like a lion! Now she is 16 months and still loves this toy. A definitely must for animal lovers!

My daughter loves the animal zoo. When you hit the yellow button you don't have to do much but a little tap, the monkey goes up and back down, and she loves the whistle that the bird makes when it is pressed down. My daughter got this for her 1st b-d and she is now 2 1/2 almost and still enjoys it. Defintely worth the money and will your children will light up with delight.
