I purchased this product for my 14 month old granddaughter. I have an old Fisher Price School House with several items inside like desks, swings, see-saw, slide, merry-go-round, and hoped these little people would fit on them, but they are too large. However, she plays with them all the time and they give me a chance to teach her nationalities, colors, gender, and the various toys the little people are holding. They are made well and will last a long time.

My husband and I are adopting a bi-racial little boy who just turned one. For his birthday he received the Fisher Price Little People Racin' Ramps Garage & the Car Repair Shop. He loves both toys but I was somewhat dismayed to find the African-American was the tow truck driver & the Hispanic was the mechanic. The Caucasians were the drivers; the people of color, the service people (& both male). I may be overly sensitive but I thought that seemed lopsided. So we are getting some people of different races to drive the cars & participate in any other Little People toys we receive.

As a Fisher-Price Little People collector, I do recommend this Families in your Neighborhood set. I got so many figures at such a good price! The swing will attach to any Little People set with compatible connections, and it's durable enough to withstand my 18 month old son. The creepy guy wearing a back pack and mustache makes it worth it on his own.

This set of Little People families is adorable. Classic Little People cute-ness. My daughter loves them.

As a teacher of a two year old classroom, I was having difficulty finding ANY people for our block area. Everything was 3 and up. I was so excited to find these little people that fit both our block area and diversity requirements. Plus, they go with other little people additions to the center, such as doll house and farm. The kids love them!
