I bought this set to go with our Little People Pirate Ship. It's been through two children and countless numbers of their friends and has held up beautifully! We've used it to decorate three birthday cakes, floated it in the bathtub, and sailed the vast and stormy ocean of the living room carpet with it.
The pirate figurines are adorable and we were happy to have some more pirate friends to add to the figures that came with our Pirate Ship.

The little people toys are great. My son is in love with the "guys" as he calls them. He especially loves the airplane, but he really likes all the little boats, also. Good for imaginary play, also. He imagines the people getting off and on, taking trips, etc. Very durable.
