5.0 out of 5 stars Another Great One From Hans DeBeer!, August 23, 2000
By A Customer
This is another woderfully illustrated children's book from Hans DeBeer. In this Little Polar Bear adventure Lars finds a husky pup, Floe, who has been separated from his pack. Together they make the journey to the city where they are able reunite Floe with his mother. Along the way Lars and Floe learn that they both have strengths and weaknesses and without the other they never would have made it. All of the books in this series have happy endings as does this one. However at the very end it has a very nice unexpected surprise! (I guess that you will just have to read it to find out what it is! )

This beautifully illustrated book has wonderful characters and a fun plot. My 4 year old loves the Little Polar Bear. It isn't heavy handed, but sets a great example for how to get along with others and be a good friend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sweet Story!, February 5, 2008
This review is from: Little Polar Bear and the Husky Pup (Paperback)
I love these North South Books. They are very nice stories for young children and very friendly. I love how little polar bear helps his friends and everyone is very nice. There is nothing scary in the book and everything always turns out alright. A very nice book.

My nephews love all the little polar bear series by Hans de Beer, and so do I. Great illustrations, he meets animals that he makes friends with, and a nice ending. I'd can recommend them all.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lars is a wonderful bear!, July 28, 2004

An adult might find the storylines a bit repetitive but my 3 year old loves all of the Lars books. We got her some at xmas and she was so pleased that we bought all the others for her birthday 5 months later and she wants them read to her over and over. She even 'reads' them to her younger brother!

My children love this author and the art. We change the polar bears name to Loopy because Lars is too harsh for a soft looking polar bear cub.
