My three girls prefer these little ponies to the regular sized My Little Ponies. I also prefer them because my girls are not into 'grooming' them, only playing with them, so the standard sized ponies are always very matted looking. These little ones are jointed in the neck, cute, and colorful. They are made very well. The tins do bend fairly easy but they bend back just as easy and it hasn't been a big problem for us as the ponies are usually loose in the storage bin and not always put back in the tins nor are the tins always used when the ponies are. My girls love putting these ponies on the My Little Pony dance studio which spins them around. Very fun. My girls have no interest in the big ponies since these came along, including my 2 1/2 year old. We bought the first series of six some time before Christmas and now we have purchased the new series of six more. I hope they keep coming. If your girl likes to brush the hair and do the dress-up hair bow thing, then this probably won't be best for her. But if she just likes to play with ponies or enjoys setting up cute collections, this might be perfect for her as well.

I was shocked when the package arrived. These aren't just tiny, they are super tiny. All six together fit in a very small box.
They are cute, but not what I expected.

I'm a 26-year-old MLP collector, so please take that into consideration when you read this review. I am obviously looking for different things in my toys than the average child would be, so if you are considering buying this for a child, this review may not be that helpful to you :)

The Tiny Tin ponies are a collector's dream. Such tiny little replicas of the ponies we already know and love - and such adorable little tins to keep them in. Not to mention that the tins come in handy for storing candy, medicine, safety pins, paper clips, pony points - you name it. I've even bought extras to be able to use. They make a great (and adorable) mini-first-aid-kit for your car or purse. I love how each tin has a different design even on the inside, too. It's such a nice detail :)

That said, I would advise any collectors who are particular about the condition of their ponies to try to find these in their local toy store instead of buying the multi-pack here. I ended up having to replace my Daisy Jo because of a dark purple smudge right in the middle of her face. On the other hand, most of the ponies WERE in fine condition and you really can't beat the convenience of getting them all at once - and the little cardboard box they come in that perfectly nestles all 6 tins is strangely cute - and perfect for storing them. Whether you take the chance on getting all 6 at once or try to hunt them out yourself is really a judgement call that only you can make.

I was surprised at how small the tiny tins really were, and was a bit disappointed that the ponies are more like figurines than regular ponies. They don't have manes, other than painted on, and their heads move slightly, up and down. My daughter is too young to fully enjoy these now, but I can definitely see the day when these will make an excellent restaurant or trip toy. I would agree with another purchaser who said this set needs a small bag, as the parts are quickly spread across a room; 6 ponies, 6 tins, 2 pieces each tin. You can imagine how quickly all 18 pieces can drift far and wide. Some benefits; play can involve more than one child, and there is educational value in the matching of ponies to tins, and inside to outside tin pieces. Not quite what I expected, but still cute and clever.

My daughter love little toys. These My Little Ponies are too cute!!! They each have their own little tin which she makes as their beds. She loves them. I would highly recommend these for a 6 year old.

My daughers (7 and 4) both love little plastic animals...so when I saw these I know my littlest (who loves My Little Ponies) would love them, and she does. The tins are cute and the ponys all come in cute poses with heads that move. She has played with these more than all her bigger ponies since she got them for Christmas.

I bought this item for an adult friend of mine who is a collector. I would not recommend these for kids because they do not have the hair that most little girls I know like. They are rather small and don't have the appeal for most little kids. I think these are a cute addition to any collection or for older children.

my six year old niece adores these ponies. she has always been fascinated with small things and loves ponies. you can imagine how much she loves small ponies! I'm her new favorite auntie. to the reviewer who complained about their small size? well, it isn't for everybody but I certainly wouldn't THROW AWAY an object as collectible as these little ponies are going to be in the future... hell, GIVE them to a collector rather than putting them in a landfill. How utterly pointless.

But I think it was also pretty obvious by the word 'tiny' in the item description that these would in fact be TINY ponies and not regular size ones. I mean, how does one define tiny? I define it as being very, very small and therefore was not disappointed that the items were very, very small.

There's no misleading information here. Just use common sense, people. Other than that... I second the 'collector's should buy from the store so they can carefully select items' but for a play item? Buying them in bulk from amazon is a SWEET deal and I'd do it all over again in a heart-beat. In fact, I have them on order for myself now (I love ponies, too and small cute things)

So... A+++++ buy these and you will not be sorry!!!

EDIT: FREE SHIPPING! I ordered them but unfortunately I cut through the middle tin with the scissors i was using to open the packaging so if you order them just be very careful because there is no padding between the tins and the cardboard packaging.

My 6 year old daughter just loves these little ponies, she doesnt really play with them as much as collect them and they all are displayed on her window sill. She actually enjoys collecting and playing with all of the MLP ponies and accessories. Her grandfather actually drilled wholes through 3 of these ponies and strung them with beads and made her a beautiful necklace which she just loves to wear. I'm glad the My little pony collection is back!!

A must have for lovers of the My Little Pony collection. This ponies are great for play and for displaying. Their heads move to creat cute posses. Each tin has a decoration made for each specific pony. Also pocket size for travel.
