The attention to detail is amazing on a $20 plastic toy, working lights (batteries included!), mail box that opens (and is full of letters actually addressed to different ponies), working drawer w/ bottles inside that snap onto the top, little shower brush, etc.
She's been playing with it and the smaller ponyville sets I got her nonstop for days, excellent value!
It is a gorgeous three storey building, two levels which open out - a bedroom and bathroom up the top a kind of patio in the middle and an open up dining area at the bottom.
It comes with a few little features. The chandeleir in the upstairs bedroom lights up (read the instructions which helps is work optimally) a springing up frog. And a letterbox which opens up with mail.
It comes with a lovely dressing table, my perfume bottles don't match the colour on the box, but I guess that is pretty standard. It also comes with a see saw and two ponys. There is a table with two plates and a couple of cups. The cups are so tiny we lost one immediately. But we have been a bit more careful since then.
We are building up a collection of ponyville stuff they are great play toys for the kids. This has given my kids hours of fun. It has been linked with the Ice cream parlour and the sunny daze swing.
Super fun for kids - highly recommended
There's a lot of attention to detail to the playset. The are also lots of cute accessory sets that can be purchased for under $10. I like the fact you can buy packs of the mini-ponies for around the same price as a regular sized pony. This is a great way to have a good sized pony collection for your child, without having to give up lots of room. All in all, I think this Ponyville theme line of mini-ponies from Hasbro is a keeper and a nice addition to the My Little Pony world.
She plays with it every single day. We took it on a youth group camping trip with us (at her insistence) and set it up on a picnic table. There was nary a time during the weekend when some child, (usually three or four of them) was not enthralled over at the "pony house" - I mean, 2 yr-olds to 10-yr- olds, they all loved it. And after a weekend of attention from 20 kids and being outdoors, it still looks great and works perfectly. So if that's not durability, I don't know what is.
My daughter was never one for stuffed animals and security objects, but she does ask to have the "pony house" set up by her bed every night, so she can see it first thing in the morning. Best $[...] I've ever spent on a toy.
Pinkie Pie's balloon house is such a wonderful playset, and if you're going to buy one playset, buy this one. It's more fun than the Sweet Shop, in my opinion. The froggy is adorable, and removeable from his fountain. The house itself snaps shut so your little one can carry it with her. The tiny pieces either have pegs to hold them in place or can be put in the tiny drawer in the bedroom. I LOVE how precious the bathroom is, even though we're left to wonder; Where do My Little Ponies answer the calls of nature?
There are also "add ons" you can buy, such as Triple Treat's ice cream thingie and Sunny's swing. They are each around $5! In conclusion, this playset is sturdy, well made, clever and doesn't take up nearly as much room as a regular MLP playset, and you can infinitely add on things, making it more fun (I embellished mine with the new McCdonalds toys and other Ponyville accessory sets). Make sure you get one for your little girl!
