I bought this doll for my niece's second birthday. I think she's perfect because she has a soft body but looks like a "big girl" doll. My daughter is almost two and I think I'll get one for her. She'll like that you can brush her hair but she's cuddly enough to sleep with. In fact my niece sleeps with hers and didn't put her down at the birthday party. This Ariel really looks like the character unlike the other versions of the little Disney princesses. I think the other dolls look more babyish. I also like that her tail is a skirt and underneath it she has two legs.

I had looked everywhere for this little doll! Ariel is a great first doll for our little one and the only doll we could find that matched our own little red head with blue eyes. Ariel is all soft except for her head and there are no items(i.e. buttons, beads,etc.) that can pull off from her outfit. The only thing that needs to be watched for is her hair, she has a tiny clear hairband that holds her hair back which I just removed due to having a little one who still puts everything in her mouth and that was the first thing that she tried to get at!!!! Now I want to get the other Little Princess' in the collection!

My daughter just turned two and I got her this for her birthday after weeks of watching the newly discovered "Little Mermaid" over and over again. Her face lit up when she opened the package and Arrrel (as she calls her) had a permanent place tucked under her arm for the rest of the day, naptime included. Ariel is a perfect size and is a very well constructed toy. I like the fact that the doll doesn't do anything, leaving lots for my little one to imagine for herself.

My daughter got thi doll for her 4th birthday. She is a new little mermaid fan. She was excited to open the package and first play with the doll. My daughter loves to pretend play. All of the other dolls she has are smaller so this doll just doesn't fit it. Because it it bigger, it doesn;t get as much play. I think she would rather play with a little mermaid barbie doll.

We bouht this doll for our 17-month-old daghter, on her 2nd Christmas. We wanted a nice doll that would withstand some wear and be cuddly enough for her to sleep with. She loves it!!

The Little Mermaid is one of her favorite movies and I was unable to find that doll anywhere. It came in a more than timely fashion,in the box. Wonderful first doll for your little princess!
