This was the first Stepping Stone adaption I read. I was very impressed. The leagal conatations of what Sara faces money wise are not toned down. Most of the events are here, and in the right order. This book has 20 chapters and no pictures. Might be too hard for some readers because of that fact. Those readers might prefer the original novel, hardcover, illastrated by Tasha Tudor.

I bought this as part of a Christmas present. The original was may favorite book growing up. I bought it for a 5yr old and a 3yr old (mostly for the 5yr old). I bought this, the original and the movie and made a gift set. They loved this version. The 5yr old read it to the 3yr old and they both enjoyed it. Easy to read and understand while still keeping true to the story.
