He's always handing it to us to read.

It is easily removable from the book, though, and makes a great bath toy for a couple of baths until it springs a leak and you have to throw it out.

I bought this book for my 18-month old grandson, who loves ducks.

My 18 month old daughter loves the Little Quack board book. So, this was an obvious bath book to try. Hey, anything that keeps her happy in the bathtub for at least long enough to get clean is good enough for me. She likes it, and wants to hear the story - an abridged version of the short one from the board book - over and over again. It's not Dickens, but that's not why you're buying this.

I agree with the other reviewers that the blowup duck on the cover is useless. It is easily removable from the book, though, and makes a great bath toy for a couple of baths until it springs a leak and you have to throw it out. But, then you still have the book, which is what you really wanted anyway.

My 13 1/2 month old daughter loves books, so I thought that a bath book would be the perfect thing for her. She does like this book and we read it in and out of the bath. We also have the video of this particular story and this version is quite abridged. Also, the little quack blow-up bath toy that comes with it doesn't stay inflated very well. She still likes to play with it and the book has held up very nicely.

At first, I thought, how lame--a book with little ducks going in the water and that's it. There's really no plot here. But, my son kept wanting to read it during bath time. So, each time a duck goes in the water in the book, we make big splashes in the tub. This makes my son laugh and laugh. With a little creativity in delivering the content of the book, we were able to make it a lot of fun. I agree that the blow up duck that comes with it is useless, so I just threw it away.

I got this for my daughter because she loves the Little Quack books, and while the story is still cute, but inflatable duck that came with the book was defective. One of the side seams isn't sealed properly; you can blow it up but then as soon as she squeezes the toy all the air comes out and water can get in. She still enjoys playing with it, but I'm somewhat disappointed in the quality.
Also, it doesn't show this in the product picture, but the valve to blow up the toy is on the front, which looks funny.

This book is terrible. It looks cheap and the snap on "tub toy" was snapped in a bad place. For a book aimed at very young children, there are too many words. But most importantly, it isn't captivating at all: my son has never been interested in it. He has a Thumper bath book from Disney that was a gift and he has asked me to read him that one repeatedly. He literally never asks for this one and if I try to read it, he doesn't pay attention.

I can't say that we "love it", but our 16 month old son does! He's always handing it to us to read. The little blow-up duckling for the front is somewhat odd. It has a snap that holds it perpendicularly onto the book. The blow-up spout for the duck is right in the middle of the duck's stomach. So yeah, that's a wasted feature. But the book overall, apparently, entertains our son.

What others have said here is true. Great little book that can be read to baby while baby and book are both wet! 'Pages' are very colorful and will delight baby. As baby gets older, baby will be able to handle this book right in the bath. Little blow up duck broke immediately, so don't depend on that and that's why I only gave this 4 stars!
