Little Quack's Bedtime,
By Jersey Joe (Pittsburgh, PA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Little Quack's Bedtime (Hardcover)
My 4 year old loves this book. We discovered the Little Quack series recently and this one is especially sweet. Perfect for a favorite bedtime story. The characters are kind and gentle and the illustrations are beautiful. The caring and loving mother duck tending to her ducklings and their many questions is a pleasure to read. Definitely recommend it to anyone with little ones.

Sweet Night Time Story,
This review is from: Little Quack's Bedtime (Hardcover)
My 18 month old has had this book for 7 months. She absolutely adores it. We not only read it at bedtime but whenever the mood arises. She carries the book around and would sleep with it if we let her. The story is wonderful and the pictures inside are so sweet and beautiful. My little one will sit and "read" her book through the pictures all the time. A great one to have around for bedtime. Plus it's not real wordy. The perfect bedtime read.

This book, "Little Quack's Bedtime" is exactly that. Little Quack is one of five ducklings that falls sleep the last in the book.
1. The story revolves around five ducklings in their bed time. But each one is disturbed by what they see and what they hear. Until the "moma duck" eases their fear by explaining them. Then, one by one, falls into sleep. That's it. This is the story. 2. The purpose of story seems to be that mothers can ease children's fears by being close to them. (But I couldn't stop think about those kids without their mothers... then this book might not be good for them). 3. The physical book itself is strong and sturdy. 4. The illustrations are well drawn and the colors are rich. Overall, I like the book (and my son liked it too), but I just thought it could have been better as far as storyline was concerned. Additionally, the price (as of now, $7.99 in Amazon) seems to be too stiff for the product.

My favorite bedtime book for my daughter. My three-year-old now has the book memorized and "reads" it by herself before I ever get to her room. Once again, Derek Anderson brings the story to life with his brilliant, dual-page illustrations -- when the ducklings yawn, I can't help yawning myself. Perfect amount of text per page. Also helps children to not be afraid of nightime sights and sounds. Sure to become a classic, if it's not already.

My 2.5 year old just loves this book. I checked it out from my library and think I'm going to have to go ahead and purchase it. It's a very sweet story of a mama duck and her answers to all her ducklings questions about all the noises and sights that they hear/see in the night. The illustrations are lovely and the story is very well-written.

My children and I love all the Little Quack's books. After buying Little Quack and Little Quack's Hide and Seek, we just had to have this one too.

I received this ADORABLE book today and just had to review it right away. I read it to my children, and they loved it. This book ranks right up there with my other favorites Goodnight Moon and The Runaway Bunny. Such a sweet story, but the illustrations are even better.
The book itself is very high quality board material..looks to be very well made - I'm sure it will last.

I purchased this book to add some variety to the "bedtime" books I read to my 4 month old. She loves the other Little Quack books we have and this seemed a perfect addition. The pages are colorful enough to hold her attention. And we get to learn about Little Quack and siblings trying to get to sleep. I would def recommend to any parent to add this to their child's library.

A HIT WITH MY 3 YEAR OLD SON,
This review is from: Little Quack's Bedtime (Hardcover)
This is one of those books that has beautiful illustrations. 5 ducklings are resisting sleep. they hear something, mama explains what they hear, 1 duckling falls asleep. 4 remain awake, they see something, mama explains what it is, 1 more duckling falls asleep. and so one until all fall asleep. My son LOVES to read this book. He has practically memorized it now. He still asks for it. I love the pictures too. We worked on he is for boys and she is for girls.
