This little book is an important part of my childhood. I'm now 14, and The Little Quiet Book has been my favorite book for as long as I can remember. I loved the pictures, especially the quiet puppy. I was recently cleaning my closet, and I found The Little Quiet Book in a box... I almost cried, I was so happy to see it. I definately recommend this book to mothers who enjoy reading to their children... I know I loved it when my mom would read it to me, and I'm sure your children will too.

When my first child was born in 1998 we were given a copy of this book. We loved it and read the book until it fell apart. That edition I would happily give five stars to. I recently purchased a new copy for my youngest children and was disappointed to find several of the lines were removed, including the ending "quiet are you when you close this book, hush" which my daughter loved to whisper along with me. Because of the editing, I have to rate this edition at only 3 stars. Good, but not like the original.

My daughter is now 21 months old and this book has been one of her favorites for over a year. The illustrations are sweetly drawn and focus on things that are easily recognizeable to most children. The text is soothing and rhythmic. I plan to tuck this little book in with all future baby gifts!

Our very favorite bedtime book for 9 years and 4 children. However when ours finally wouldn't stay taped together any longer it was discarded to order a new one. Only about half the pages are printed in the new one discluding the very best parts, in our opinion. Please, publishers, please re-release the original!

I bought this for a young lady who has a brand-new baby. It's a book that has really thick cardboard pages, and the manufacturing process requires pages in multiples of 8 or something, so THEY LEFT OFF THE LAST FIVE OR SIX PAGES! Yeow! If I was the author, I'd be SO angry about it!

My babies LOVED this book - it used to end with a perfect "time to go to sleep" message. Now it ends abruptly. What moron came up with the idea for this book?

This is one of 3 books (Go To Bed Fred and Goodnight Little Bear) that I saved from when my 11 year old was little. We introduced this and the others to his little sister 2 years ago and she loves them just as much - although she has torn them to shreds!

My son actually learned the concept of being quiet from this book. He would always says, "HUSH"

I am ordering another copy of this and the others!

This is the perfect bedtime book for very young children. My first daughter loved this book so much that it didn't survive until her third birthday. I'm now ordering a copy for the new baby, so I can start reading it to her at night.

My son of 18 months has been loving this book for months now. He has brought it to me to read over and over and actually learned how to say the word "quiet" because of this book. We read it so much that it got torn apart and so I am ordering another. He loves the illustrations in the book so much that he sometimes just wants to look at them only. I love reading this book to my son.

My teenager grew up with this book, and I purchased this for a new baby in the family - SO WISH I had read the reviews and realized that this is NOT the same book. It has been cut down, and not only are some favorite lines gone, it just sounds wierd! It just suddenly ends, and is clear that the last few pages are missing....plus, the pages aren't just chunky, their bizarre - overly thick, almost foam like. I'll be returning this one and gluing my old one back together. Will keep my eyes open for a better edition.

My little boy, Jonathan, is 21 months old and he LOVES "The Little Quiet Book". It's one of his favorites, and he often hands it to me to read to him. The last page says "Hush", and he always repeats that after me. I enjoy the book, too, because it's so soft and soothing. The illustrations are really cute!
