Patricia DeLisa makes her home as an artist with her husband and three children on Long Island, New York, just a few miles from the vast beauty of the Atlantic Ocean. From this place in the world she also designs a line of infants' and childrens' clothing and operates a design business with her sister, using the rich arts inspired by anthroposophy to steward beauty into the world.
Patricia is also the designer and owner of CozyCocoon.com which creates US-based children clothing.

Every single page in this book has the most stunning pictures that make me wish I were a kid again (so my mom could read it to me over and over)! I only read it to my 5-year-old because the story is a little too complex for my 3-year-old...I thought my daughter would be a little nervous when she saw the illustration of the wolf, but she has never said anything or even acted like she's noticed. We love the colors and magical softness of the pictures.
I LOVE this version of the story, too. It is not watered-down, so it makes sense (in a fairy tale way)...it is very interesting. The "commentary for the thoughtful parent" at the end is so helpful, it is almost worth buying this book just for this insight.

When I read this story to my first grade students, they were overwhelmed by the brilliant colors and intricate details given to this story's illustrations. Wonderful commentary in the end of the book that is really meant more as a morality/deep meaning connection that can be reinforced by parents to their children. I am extremely impressed by Patricia Delisa's wonderful artistic abilities and I hope to see more of her eyecatching artwork in future stories.

I didn't like the pictures, it is a more scary looking not good for small children.
