5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful book
I was absolutely enchanted with this pop up book, it is the best pop up book I've ever seen. The paper engineering is incredible - a "grandma" that is revealed to be a wolf, the wolf sneezing out grandma, grandma and red riding hood chasing the wolf... 2.0 out of 5 stars Good story, nice pop-ups, poor layout
The book has a nice rendition of the classic story. The pop ups are very nice and entertaining even after multiple reads. The main issue I had is that the black ink print is often placed over dark areas of the artwork making it difficult to read. For people like myself who have vision problems, it makes reading the book a difficult chore.

This pop-up is awesome. I am completly amazed at how wonderful each page is. It's the little details that are so nice. I can't wait to share this with my daughter. She loved her first pop-up, which wasn't made so great and broke apart. I plan on keeping this as a special read. I think this may have turned me into a pop-up book fan!!!

I collect pop up books and this is a rare treasure. I feel privileged to own one of only 100 copies in the world. This book has a great deal of creativity and originality for such a familiar story. There are many great pop-ups and illustrations such as; the wolf licking his lips and when he sneezes out the grandmother. It has a wonderful moral twist at the end. I love this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Pick, September 22, 2008
This review is from: Little Red Riding Hood: A Classic Collectible Pop-Up (Hardcover)
I'm sooooo glad we found this book!! My daughter has story book character day at school and had to pick a book and a costume. We were so happy when we saw this book because the picture on the front cover looks a lot like my daughter. We were also thrilled with the pop ups. My daughter can't wait to carry this book to school to share with her class. She's only 6 and the pop ups will help her with reading the story to the class. I'm sure they will love this book too!!

5.0 out of 5 stars for pop-up book collectors, February 20, 2011

This is the Limited Edition version of the regular trade edition. There were 100 copies in a burgundy cloth-covered slipcase. The Limited Edtion book is also burgundy cloth covered; the front cover has a recessed pocket with an extra pop-up of Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf, and this extra pop-up is hand signed & numbered by Marjorie Priceman. The 2001 list price was $150.

The inside of the Limited Edition book is the same as the regular trade edition: there are seven double page pop-ups, and seven additional pop-ups; one under each of the lift flaps. There are about four paragraphs of text on the right side of each double spread, including around two paragraphs under most of the lift flaps.

Written & illustrated by Marjorie Priceman, and paper engineering by Bruce Foster. The story and the illustrations are entertaining, and typical of my other Bruce Foster pop-up books, the paper engineering is more than complicated enough to hold my interest, and make this a welcome addition to my pop-up book collection.

Great version of the story--a funny ending rather than a scary or disturbing one. One of the best pop-ups I have seen as well. We have owned the book for two years now and my daughters still request it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Little Red Riding Hood (Classic Collectible Pop-ups), January 16, 2009
My girls love this book. The paper work is wonderful but not bulky. I wish I could find more just like it. It is a treasure and has lasted several years without getting torn up. It seems that most pop-up books are not meant for little hands. This one is my two year olds favorite.
