A beautiful book filled with superb illustrations!,

This review is from: The Little Soul and the Earth: I'm Somebody! A Children's Parable from Conversations with God (Hardcover)
I really love this book because the wordings are simple yet complex. For example, the messages contained in this book has a deeper philosophical meaning and the average child would not be able to understand the deeper meaning contained in this book. Another reason why this book is so beautiful to read is because of its lovely drawings. The drawings are an inspiration to view at for countless of hours and it filled me with wonder and amazement on the beauty of life and creation. Even the colourful illustrations have a deeper symbolic meaning as it probes the reader to think about the meaning of life, reincarnation and God. This is truly a masterpiece from Neale Donald Walsch! Highly recommended for ALL ages!

A while back a friend read a portion of this book to me over the phone and I just loved it! I had to have it for my grandson and one of my grown children so I bought one for them too. It points out so well how those that we believe hate us or treat us badly can be our greatest teachers.

It's a pretty okay job of having the same tone as And the Sun if not the same unique impact. As expected the illustrations are amazing, and it's fun to visualize on your own. The biggest issue with this is that it only can get its full effect if you've read the other book or are familiar with the author's other material. Otherwise it's probably not the most high-powered universal way to get these ideas across. Great writer though. For anyone in the same boat as Chuck Brown, seek the definition of "parable" in the first available dictionary.

Little Soul and the Earth,
This review is from: The Little Soul and the Earth: I'm Somebody! A Children's Parable from Conversations with God (Hardcover)
This book was every bit as good as I expected it to be. Just like the rest of Neale Donald Walsh's writing it is heart warming and uplifting. A joyous read.

I only regret one thing, that I did not have this treasure book when I rreaised my oldest children. It is a critically required perspective that all children should have to live an abundant and happy life.

This beautifully illustrated book is delightful and speaks to the heart. Its story represents a basic spiritual principle in a way that a young child can understand. As a spiritual teacher and a life long educator, I would say that this is a "must read" for any age!

The message of this book is less powerful compared to The Little Soul and the Sun; but if you want a reminder that "the angels came with you when you took human birth", this book illustrates this point fairly well. When I was reading it, I felt like I was going through my own "birth scene" again, and inside of me is this, "OH YES".

Good but not what I expected,
This review is from: The Little Soul and the Earth: I'm Somebody! A Children's Parable from Conversations with God (Hardcover)
This follow up to The Little Soul And The Sun is a continuation of the adaptation for children of Conversations With God. While I am a big fan of Neale Donald Walsch and his writings, and I was very favorably impressed by the first book in his children series, this one was rather a let down in terms of the storytelling. Although its tough to tell important spiritual truths in the limited amount of pages that you find in a book written for children, Walsch succeeded admirably in the first book of the series so I was expecting more of the same in this one. On the other hand, it does manage to gets its message across so that a child can understand it, and that certainly does count for something. The illustrations are wonderful just as they were in the first book. I rate it a good book but not an exceptional one, although the message is definitely one children need to read or hear and understand.
