Little Starter Cloth Diaper Pattern

I've only ever sewn the diaper covers from this pattern so far, but I love them! They have gussets, which is totally the trick for containing b/f poop. We've yet to have anything escape :)
They are easy to sew and look great - and best of all they're super quick! I especially like the umbilical cord scoop on the n/b diapers. It doesn't need to snap down or anything, the pattern has been very cleverly designed so it sits nicely under the belly button. I love the idea of putting the PUL on the inside and a print on the outside - it means I have bright and colorful covers with a little more excitement than plain fabrite colors.

I've really enjoyed this pattern. It comes with complete instructions on how to make several different sytles and sizes of diapers and covers. It also gives great info on what fabrics, notions, etc are suggested. If you are just learning to sew these are a great starting point. I've really enjoyed making these; and you can use a sewing machine, serger, or both.

Maybe I'm still just a sewing novice but I found the instructions really hard to follow. I've pnly made the covers so far and used the pattern (which is great) but had to wing it because the instructions were so confusing. This resulted in making a couple of prototypes before I found a system of making the covers. All in all, I would reccomend th pattern.

I love these! The covers are great. I've never had a leak with them. I'm just now trying out the fitteds but I'm sure they're going to be just as good as the covers.

I made a cover and even altered the pattern to make a pocket diaper. I love the fact that there are sewing options and a variety of cutting guides. I enjoyed the easy to follow instructions and found it easy work to make cool diapers!

I read and re-read, and re-read the directions and studied the pictures a lot before attempting my first diaper cover. I also watched a couple of instructional videos on YouTube, which really helped. I would like to see the instructions made a lot more simple for those of us who aren't used to sewing this type of thing. It really took a lot to get that first cover completed, and it's by no means a pro job, but I'm happy with it, overall. I'm trying to get up my nerve to make a second one (and the baby has outgrown the first one already).
