5.0 out of 5 stars If you love babies, you'll love this book!
I saw Anne Geddes on Oprah Winfrey's show the other day, where they highlighted this book. It looked interesting and I decided to buy it. I am very glad I did. Anne Geddes has some of her trademark whimsical babies in it, babies looking up from flowers, etc., but she's added a much deeper element with this book; there are many touching photos, of premature babies...

2.0 out of 5 stars Take photos of your own baby for a treasure.
OK, some of the photos are really good, others are average. We received this as a shower gift. Why do I want a book filled with photos of complete strangers and their babies? I think a photo album and a few rolls of film to create a book of our own expectant baby would have been much better. If you like looking at pictures of babies, this book is good, but diapers,...

Anne Geddes has some of her trademark whimsical babies in it, babies looking up from flowers, etc., but she's added a much deeper element with this book; there are many touching photos, of premature babies being held by male hands, of angelic babies in heavenly places, plus there are wonderful poems and quotes with each photo. I weeped the first time I looked through it. This is a great book for mother's day, or for anyone who's recently given birth. I HIGLY recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars great book - what is all this misplaced rage?, October 28, 1999
This review is from: Little Thoughts With Love (Hardcover)
This book, along with Geddes' others, is filled with wonderfully enchanting photos. The imagery is challenging and beautiful. The children seem lost in themselves, which is how children should be. I got this for a friend of mine for her birthday. She introduced me to this woman's work, and I have been enchanted ever since. We both have children and have thought of taking them to the park to try out our own "fun" photography.

The grownups who are complaining about the "awful" places that Geddes uses for these photos have forgotten the wonderment of being a child. I am sorry if you were expecting Tupperware for a baby shower and got this wonderful treat instead. Find a library to share this book with.

By A Customer
This address book is ADORABLE...There are tabs for each letter of the alphabet and each letter has it's own cute and adorable anne geddes' photo plus a very sweet and memorable quote that fits it. This hardcover address book is a great gift to give to those who are going away to college to make sure they keep in touch with close family and friends from home.

4.0 out of 5 stars used this book to break the big news..., August 27, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Little Thoughts With Love (Hardcover)
When I looked through this book and read the quotes, I knew this would be the perfect way to break the news of becoming pregnant to my husband, mother, and relatives & friends. There's a quote/photo that's appropriate for almost anyone. I direct each of my friends to "their" quote, using a bookmark that has a color copy of my positive test on the back. Everyone loves it!

Even if it's not used for this purpose, I would recommend the book. The pictures are beautiful, the quotes are touching, and the feeling is wonderful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely adorable!, February 4, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Little Thoughts With Love (Hardcover)
I bought this book as a birthday gift for my sister who is an avid Anne Geddes fan. Am now acquiring one for myself as the photos are so spectacular and absolutely darling. They capture the rare moments of the child and Anne's creativeness is simply awesome. The little sayings are very touching and time after time of browsing through it, continually brings laughter and joy. Wonderful for picking up the spirits on a gloomy day. If you love babies.....you will love this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars true art, April 27, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Little Thoughts With Love (Hardcover)
A truly beautiful work of art. While viewing Anne's photography its important to keep in mind that we are viewing images that symbolize innocence, putity and beauty. This book shouldn't be looked down upon as a collection of snapshots on someone's fridge. Excellent Mother's Day gift, I just stopped in to pick up a copy for my mom.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gotta love those chubby cheeks!!, January 13, 2001
This review is from: Little Thoughts With Love (Hardcover)
As a lover of quotes, words of wisdom, aesthetics, photography, and of course BABIES, I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for that perfect piece to place in the center of his/her coffee table. Anne Geddes' love of photography, nature, babies, and toddlers will leap off each page and straight to your heart. "Little Thoughts with Love" will keep you smiling, laughing, and possibly crying each time you flip through the pages. The corresponding quotes are brilliantly selected as if to give you an exact image to place with the words. Whether you are expecting a child, already a parent, a grandparent, or even just a baby-lovin' college student like me, this book is for you! No matter what your age, if you are interested in anything that I listed in the first sentence of this review, you need to get your hands on this book. After all, "Babies are such a nice way to start people." --Don Herold (1889-1966)
