Our daughter and her friends are loving her new playset! So, even though there were a few pieces that were a little more difficult to put together than they should have been, it was well worth it. It took my husband and I about 4 1/2 hours over two days to assemble the playset. The major hassle is anchoring it into the ground. We were unable to use the stakes that came with the set because we just couldn't get them far enough into the ground. But, this could be because of our type of soil/grass...who knows. But, we just ran out to our nearby hardware store and picked up different stakes that were easier to bury and it all worked out!

Extremely disappointed with this purchase so far. I bought it for my son's first birthday party. Set up in the backyard, it looks great. Watching toddlers play on it, shows its flaws. The bottom base is extremely flimsy. The upper platform is just as flimsy. No more than two toddlers should be on top or else the platform will bow. I realize it is a plastic playset. I just expected it to be stronger than it is. The directions were a bit confusing at times. Please note that Step 20 calls for bolt KK. This bolt is not long enough and you will have to go to a home improvement store and buy a longer one.

We purchased this a little over a year ago for our almost 3 yr old son. Delivery from amazon was quick and easy. Assembly took several hours, but I did not do it all at once. I (the mommy) put 90% of it together myself, but I like that sort of thing and I think I'm good at it. However parts of it were a real pain. It takes at least two people for several parts. And it took three people to put the pole for the swings into the A frame end, I think this is because the the bolt Little Tike provides is too short. I also had to contact Little Tikes becuase I was shorted one bolt, but they sent me more without charge. I used a socket ratchet set, and I think it was a real time saver. The fort floor is kinda wavy, I thought this would flatten over time, it has not, not even in the hot OK sun.
One complaint on the design of the playcenter is the ladder on the back of the "fort" area. They are straight up and seem dangerous, we do not let our almost 4 yr old climb up because we are afraid of him falling, also this area has no safety board across the opening, so if a child were to step backwards while playing up top, it would be very easy to fall.
The lid on the sandbox stays on very well, as long as its placed in the grove every time. It has stood up to very high winds without a problem. I like the plastic coated chains on the "horsey" swing, no pinched hands. I wish the swings had the same kind instead of the rope, but there has not been a problem, the ropes do not seem to bother my son's hands. The rope ladder shows some wear on the wood, but is still in good condition, I have not treated the wood and it shows. We never staked the playcenter and have not had a problem, of course there is normally only one child swinging, the strong Oklahoma winds have never caused a problem.
All in all my son loves it and he will be able to play on it for years.

Update Jan. 31, 2012-
Our son has never really liked the hard blue swings that came with the set, he always felt like he was sliding off. We bought the Little Tikes yellow Mega Cozy Swing and he likes it so much more. He can get on it himself now and the swing "hugs" his body and he can swing without feeling like he is going to fall off. The set has held up well in our Oklahoma weather, even after a heavy hail storm (golf ball size) that ruined our roof and other toys in the yard, there was no damage to the swing set. The wooden ladder shows wear but has not broken or splintered.

This is an excellent play structure. My kids absolutely love it. They are 3, 6 and 9 years old, and they are all playing with it at the same. time. I don't have to worry about maintenance as is the case with wood structures.

My 5 year old is very please with the playcenter playground, as for me no need to worry about rust or splinters in the little one. i like the idea of the sand box lid and the water area. I would highly recommend this to others!

Bought this swingset a few years back. While my kids have fun on it, one has to be very careful. The rope ladder is not made to withstand weather. Every year I have to replace the ladder, as it seems to break where the ropes slide through the wood. This creates an unsafe condition, as any children climbing can be hurt. This will also result in you having to spend $60 every year for a new rope ladder. This is not a part that one can easily take off and store away. When reported this defective condition to Little Tikes, they did not care as the rope ladder is not warrantied. My advice to all is to stay away from this product and buy one that will last more than one year.

Assembly relatively easy however you will need two people for most of it. Instructions are well written and easy to follow. The material is much more flimsy than I thought it would be or should be. Over all a good product.

After much comparison shopping we went with the little tikes playcenter for our twin boys that just turned 1. It went up fairly easy & fits perfectly in our backyard. I am thrilled I won't have to worry about splinters & the maintenance of a wood set & not deal with the rust of a metal set. This have everything you can think of that will keep little boys busy for hours. I am sure we will have many years of enjoyment on this swing set.
We had 1 minor problem with the set, the 2 swings were not in the box. I have contacted Little Tikes & there was confusion because they couldn't find an item # for them however, they should be included as they are listed they come with it & they are on the diagram that comes with the set. I had to make 2 phone calls & apparently the 1st customer service woman was clueless because the 2nd one was able to handle the proble right away. I was told I'd have them in 7-10 bus. days. 11 days later I still had no swings & called again to be told they were out of stock at the time of my 2nd call & my order would be updated & I should have them in 7-10 bus. days. I don't understand why I had to call for my order to be updated so I am not completely thrilled with their customer service. It's really a shame because this is a great product!

this payset is fun for the kids/but a pain to put together/be ready for a project DAY!!!....Holes need need to be drilled in several pieces/some bolts are not long enough....

While the directions were a bit challenging to follow (suggestion-have a consumer, not the tech geek, write them), the playset was assembled in a relatively short time. It looks terrific and is of superior quality. The only problem is now our little guy wants a trampoline to complete his "park"!
