Little Tikes Amazing Color Copier

I guess we expected a little more. My boys were excited to get it - but I don't think they'll play with it again. You basically put a white paper on top of a colored sheet that when you press hard - it leaves a light color mark. Don't know what you do when you run out of the "marking" papers... Save your money, folks!

It amounts to an expensive holder for carbon paper, which made more of a mess on my son's hands than the paper! He had to press really hard to get ANY marks to show on the paper, and the picture was only pushed out by the rubber wheel inside about half the time. He played with it for about 5 minutes. We returned it.

I thought this would be a fun toy for my 5-year-old. The instructions were difficult to understand. I called the customer service number provided in the instruction booklet, but I had to dial another number for Little Tykes. When I spoke to someone in customer service, she was helpful and said that a lot people have called on how to load the paper, etc. The printout was light and I had to press hard to make an impression. It would be difficult for a child to press so hard. The printout looked nothing like it did on T.V. or on the box. The color paper made a mess on the rollers because I didn't load it properly because a blank white sheet was supposed to be on the bottom. The toy was returned the same day it was purchased. Save your money and skip this toy.

My daughter received this for her 5th birthday and was excited to open the box and get busy making copies. Once we got it loaded properly and were ready to make the first copy the result was disappointing. Like other reviewers have said it is really just an expensive holder for carbon paper. The kids have to press really hard for a light mark to appear on the paper. The lines are thin, not thick like on the box. I wouldn't be surprised if my kids decide to put it in the donate box within a couple of months. Save your money. The only redeeming value I found was that it was a good lesson for my kids to see that commercials for toys can be misleading.

DON'T KNOW WHY I DIDN'T...GUESS I WAS JUST OVERLOADED AND IT TOSSED IT IN THE BASEMENT.. AND THEN FORGOT ABOUT IT AS OUR DAUGHTER NEVER ASKED TO PLAY W/ IT B/C IT IS SUCH A PIECE OF JUNK :)

I purchased this color copier for my 3 year old son, thinking it would be an interesting, fun toy. I was wrong. It is basically, a piece of expensive junk. It would be nice for little tykes to reimburse every customer that purchased this item.

We recieved this as a gift. It appears at a quick glance like a nice toy. The brand is good. The buttons don't work (they are just for looks). The copy button's function is to roll the paper out and that is it. The color copy is done by using carbon paper and writing on the top to make the picture transfer. The carbon paper doesn't trace very well(It makes a light copy.) It is not used much by my kids. Magna Doodle is 20 times better.

This is horrible. I bought this for my 3 yr old son and 6 year old daughter. It is only colored carbon paper, the screen to draw on has already been ruined by the kids pressing too hard on it. the carbon paper doesn't stay in place, does not copy dark, can barley see the picture. I wish I hadn't bought this toy. waste of money!

My 6 yer old son recieved this for his birthday in December. Two adults could not get it working. I recently looked on the Little Tikes site for instructions (as we lost them at his party) and they were not only not available, but the product was not available - only the refills. I guess Little Tikes received enough complaints - who market tested it anyway??? A totally bogus toy!! I did not want to give it any stars, but I had to in order to complete the review.

My 3 year old daughter received this as a gift - if it actually worked the way it is advertised, it would be a really fun toy. Unfortunately, it hardly works at all. The child has to press extremely hard on the drawing surface so the carbon paper you place inside will transfer the drawing to real paper. The result is a very faint picture - almost like a drawing made with a very faint colored pencil. The "paper ejector" on ours never even worked. We tried two sets of batteries but it never did anything. Needless to say, Little Tikes should be ashamed to charge people over $40 for this toy. Save your money and buy your child a pad of paper and some crayons instead!
