Easy to put together, sturdy, my son loves to put his special items in the bins. When he has them all over the room he can take the bin with him to make picking up easier. Would purchase again.

I bought this unit after the post-Christmas toys began to take over my 2-year old's room. Whe it arrived, I was REALLY disappointed by its size! Yes, I'd checked out the specifications on the web before ordering, and knew it wasn't 'full-size'...but really, the thing is TINY! This would be a really great piece for very small children to learn how to put away their toys, as the individual bins help keep things organized. BUT, it's horribly unsturdy for tykes just learning to stand and still leaning on furniture. If Little Tikes was going for the 'toddler-size' angle, they need to re-think the narrow base to make it more stable. Or, if it's meant to be used independently by pre-schoolers, it should be larger, to accommodate their growing toys and bodies.

The only other complaint I had was the smell - the 'fabric' bins came out of the package with an incredibly strong smell from the factory - a bit like burning hair or plastic...it was so awful, I had to air our the entire unit for a day on the porch before putting it in my son's room...I've never, ever had a problem with a new item smelling bad like that before.

We've now owned this unit for about 3 months, and I do enjoy being able to let 'everything have it's place' in my son's room. I also love the traditional, bright colors - they're fun, but not too juvenile, and will go with any changes I make in the room's decor as my son moves from the toddler to the preschool phase. I was also very pleased with the strength of the shelves - we had some pretty heavy toys stacked on the top shelf for a while to keep them out of my son's reach, and it held up just fine.

In all, I'd recommend this product to parents of new babies, as it's really meant for very small children - just make sure they don't try to pull up on it!

We recently purchased this toy storage unit for our 22 month old son and we couldn't be happier. It is sturdy and durable..a hard combination to find these days, looks great but most of all is very functional and user friendly!! It only requires 14 screws to assemble and it looks great. Our son can't wait to get up and play, yelling toy box and jumping out of bed to grab a bin.I will purchase more of these for the different "toy" areas of our home and would certainly give it as a gift.
