Little Tikes Americana Wood Storage Units with Bins

Easy to put together, sturdy, my son loves to put his special items in the bins. When he has them all over the room he can take the bin with him to make picking up easier. Would purchase again.

I bought this unit after the post-Christmas toys began to take over my 2-year old's room. Whe it arrived, I was REALLY disappointed by its size! Yes, I'd checked out the specifications on the web before ordering, and knew it wasn't 'full-size'...but really, the thing is TINY! This would be a really great piece for very small children to learn how to put away their toys, as the individual bins help keep things organized. BUT, it's horribly unsturdy for tykes just learning to stand and still leaning on furniture. If Little Tikes was going for the 'toddler-size' angle, they need to re-think the narrow base to make it more stable. Or, if it's meant to be used independently by pre-schoolers, it should be larger, to accommodate their growing toys and bodies.
The only other complaint I had was the smell - the 'fabric' bins came out of the package with an incredibly strong smell from the factory - a bit like burning hair or plastic...it was so awful, I had to air our the entire unit for a day on the porch before putting it in my son's room...I've never, ever had a problem with a new item smelling bad like that before.
We've now owned this unit for about 3 months, and I do enjoy being able to let 'everything have it's place' in my son's room. I also love the traditional, bright colors - they're fun, but not too juvenile, and will go with any changes I make in the room's decor as my son moves from the toddler to the preschool phase. I was also very pleased with the strength of the shelves - we had some pretty heavy toys stacked on the top shelf for a while to keep them out of my son's reach, and it held up just fine.
In all, I'd recommend this product to parents of new babies, as it's really meant for very small children - just make sure they don't try to pull up on it!

We recently purchased this toy storage unit for our 22 month old son and we couldn't be happier. It is sturdy and durable..a hard combination to find these days, looks great but most of all is very functional and user friendly!! It only requires 14 screws to assemble and it looks great. Our son can't wait to get up and play, yelling toy box and jumping out of bed to grab a bin.I will purchase more of these for the different "toy" areas of our home and would certainly give it as a gift.

It is a little smaller than I expected...But I guess i shoulda wrote down the measurements and took a tape measure in the room before hand. Other than that, It's perfect. My son's room has an Atlanta Braves theme so the colors are perfect. The main reason I bought this was to use as a toy box. So far, it's worked out great! I don't have or plan to put books on top so the fact that the bookends are small don't bother me. The only thing I have sitting on top is a teddy bear and a piggy bank.

A lot smaller than expected and I wish the top had larger book ends. Books don't seem to stand up very well. Very cute in a little boy's room though!

I loved this piece of furniture. Very sturdy and a good price when purchased with the matching Americana toy box.

I bought this for my son's room almost 2 years ago. It is very easy to assemble and very sturdy. The quality is better than I expected. The bins are larger than I expected them to be and hold a lot of toys. For the bookshelf on top I had to use book ends to keep the books from falling but it works great. It still looks brand new I am extremely happy with it.

Bought this product as it seemed the best product for the money. I was VERY pleased. Love the colors- it coordinates very well with the other items in the room. RED, WHITE, and BLUE- we are military : )
It comes with canvas storage cubbies that come in and out with ease. My children simply pull out the drawer and off they go. It makes clean up a breeze as everything gets thrown back in the box and then hides away inside the bookcase. My toddler even likes to clean up as we see who can clean up the fastest. I store Little People, Play food, Barbies, Dress up items, and musical instruments inside. It was pretty simple to put together that even someone who is inexperienced can do it- believe me I am one of the "in-experienced". The product is very durable and I see it lasting a long time. I liked them so much- I bought two.
