4.0 out of 5 stars Relief at last!!!
My busy 13 month old son has had serious separation anxiety. None of the many 'stations' in my home seem to keep his attention for more than the moment I am beside him. However I finally broke down and bought yet another chunk of plastic and hello! I made dinner, ate, swept the floor, and am sitting to write this review without the guy clinging and screaming on my leg...

2.0 out of 5 stars Too Small, Too Hard
We bougth this slide for our daugher when she was 1 because she loves the slides at the park. However, I had not idea it was going to be too small! Her feet almost touched the ground when she sat on top of the slide, and I had to help her up almost all the time becasue the 'rocks' are really hard to climb - even though she has been a huge climber since she could crawl...

My busy 13 month old son has had serious separation anxiety. None of the many 'stations' in my home seem to keep his attention for more than the moment I am beside him. However I finally broke down and bought yet another chunk of plastic and hello! I made dinner, ate, swept the floor, and am sitting to write this review without the guy clinging and screaming on my leg! Miraculous! My 7 and 4 year old are equally involved in the play. They have guided him as he mastered the rock climbing and the slide climbing. I pray the interest lasts until Spring! Easy assembly too! My husband will be surprised when he gets home from work! Buy it, you deserve a break too!

5.0 out of 5 stars Climb and Slide, May 11, 2004

I was a bit skeptical to purchase this Climb and slide set after reading the reviews, but decided to give it a try. We got it for my daughters 1st birthday so I was a bit ify to whether or not she'd be able to master the climbing part. It took her a whole 2 days! She's barely walking and can climb it like a champ. She loves this. It didnt take long at all to put together either, however, when putting it together, part of the plastic decking cracked a little bit. I called the little tikes phone # and they sent me a new part in 2 days!!! Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this and would recommend it. It also helps that if something is wrong, the Little Tikes customer service is very friendly and will help you out.

2.0 out of 5 stars A Push Toy, September 5, 2004

We got this for my daughters 1st b-day. We wanted something for her to use indoors in the winter. It is so light weight that when she went to climb on it, it slides away from her and she ends up using it as a push toy that she walks behind. This would not be as big of a problem on the grass but carpet is to "slippery".
The Slide is SO short and angled right into the floor. My 2 year olds legs almost touch the ground when he is sitting on the top of the slide. Then he goes down and his legs get jabbed up into his body when he reaches the bottom. My son did the durability test and it failed. He stood on it and shook it like crazy. It looked like it was going to fall apart.
This slide would be great for a 1 child family of a small one year old that is very strong and good at climbing. My daughter was able to climb the "rock wall" after a couple tries but most kids her age (that I know) couldn't. We returned this slide because I knew we couldn't keep my son and all his friends off it and it seemed very unsafe. My son picked it up and pushed it over on his sister. Also there is barely any room for a 1 year old to climb up and turn around before going down the slide. My daughter just went head 1st down the slide. She thought it was great. I didn't.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great indoor climber, March 28, 2004

After doing some research on a small climber, I decided on the Little Tikes Climb and Slide Castle and it's been a BIG hit in our house. I have a very petite 13 month old who has just begun to climb on things and she loves this toy. She mastered the rock wall immediately which was my main concern. My daughter is on the climber all day long. My son also loves the climber and he is almost 4 years old. Although he is a little big for the slide, he still enjoys it and is getting just as much activity and exercise as his sister. Assembly was super easy, I did it myself in less than 10 minutes with children clamoring for me to hurry! The size of the climber is perfect if you do not have a lot of room indoors. We live in a small condo and we have it in our great room. At night we push it off to the side and you hardly notice it's there. All in all a great investment and a very fun toy for your little ones.

4.0 out of 5 stars Space saving eye pleasing toddler tolerating toy, December 28, 2005

First off you must know that this is a perfect big ticket item for a small playroom/living room like ours. My little guy is 13 months and not quite able to climb the rock wall yet but loves to hang out underneath the castle like a fort. Plenty of room to play. He's in the 90th percentile for height and the slide is plenty huge... lots of room to grow. A great little investment. One bad thing is on carpet it's light as a feather and gets slid around very easily. Worth the money... especially if tight on space. I think it's ideal for indoor use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Slide!, May 8, 2005
This review is from: Little Tikes Climb & Slide Castle (Toy)
We got this for my son, age 2 and my daugther age 1. Both of their birthdays are in May so we figured they would both love a slide. My son seems to love the one at the park we go to. My daughter is a little hesitant but I'm sure as she grows she will be more willing to slide with her big bro. My son LOVES this slide. He loves to turn the steering wheel and pretend he's driving a car or as he says a "vroom vroom". I don't think in his 2 years of life I'd ever seen him so happy. We keep this slide inside and it is not too big to fit in our playroom. Lots of space left for the other toys. I did however need to put a blanket at the bottom of the slide because my son would just about fly off the end of the slide and land hard on his backside. But the blanket works great and he just loves this toy! I recommend this for both inside and outside use! The price was great too! I mean you definitely get quality. The assembly too me maybe 15 mintues and doesn't have any small screws that may come off and become a choking hazard! I LOVE THAT FEATURE! Excellent product! Kudos to Target!

4.0 out of 5 stars Mom's Princess, February 15, 2005

This is the best birthday gift a child could ever get from her grandparents! At first she was apprehensive to play on the toy. Once she went down the slide a few times we were unable to keep her off. The "Princess" really enjoys playing in the castle.

I went out and bought this and... brought it home and then read the reviews. I thought that I had made a mistake buying this but I decided to put it together anyway and see if my 17 month old enjoyed it. She has no problem climbing the "rock wall" and absolutely loves it. I personaly wish the slide was a bit longer but she doesn't seem to mind. It was amazingly simple and fast to put together (took me 7 minutes) and I like the fact that it will be easy to break down if necissary. This was a great investment. It is cold here and my daughter has been locked indoors for weeks. I wish I had bought this 2 months ago!

I bought this slide for my daughter's first birthday and she LOVES IT! She is 17 months old now and plays with it everyday. Other reviews said that children may have trouble climbing the rock wall...my little girl had no trouble. We keep our slide in the living room (toy room) it is great to have something like this indoors. I would suggest this toy for any child. I can't say enough good things about it.
