I usually scoff at grown-ups who write reviews for toys like they're actually intended for them, but in the interest of full disclosure I have to say I'm not wowed by this. The sounds are very soft, the pump is hard for my toddler to yank out of the holder and impossible to ram back in. The keypad and swiper are for show only. For $30, I expected more.

However, my son thinks it's incredible. He saw me looking at this on amazon and went bezerk tearfully pointing at it and then at himself. When this didn't make the pump materialize at his feet, he tried to peel if off the computer screen.

Since he received it for his B-day, he drags it around gassing up anything that looks like it could use more fuel. (Including mommy when she's too tired to resist having the nozzle pushed into her mouth.) It's been a few days now and he still chatters about it, and for that reason I'm giving this 4 stars.

I have been looking everywhere for this! I still have my children's and my grandson loves it. So, we bought it for him and he loves to gas up every toy in his yard! It comes with a credit card and he enjoys playing with this as well. Great imaginative outdoor fun! It is much heavier and sturdier that the Fisher Price model.

Our grandson loves this toy! Usses it in all of his vehicles, motorized or not!!!!

I bought this gas pump for my son's 2nd birthday. I would recommend the item being weighed down. It seems to fall over all the time when my son is pretending to put gas in his cozy coupe. I read one review where a man pierced a small hole in the back & filled it with sand...that is a good idea. I also wish the credit card swiper would make a noise or something when you pass the credit card through. I've bought lots of Little Tikes stuff & I just wasn't really impressed with this item. The sound effects aren't that loud when played with outside...I should have listened to the other reviews and passed on this item.

As cute as this gas pump looks, it is an annoying toy for both adults and kids. First of all and most important of all, for the price, it is as lightweight as you can possibly imagine and cheaply made in every respect. The hose is too short by at least 3 feet! When the child goes to gas up his Little Tikes truck (which is great btw) he/she ends up pulling this lightweight pump with him/her to get to the truck. So adults are constantly having to right the pump for the 2 year old and the 2 to 5 year old is frustrated at not having this toy work the way one expects. So-called electronic sounds are hardly audible.

My son loves his little tikes car so I got him the gas pumper as an extra accessory. He liked it at 1st but then the new wore off and now it just takes up space. Although it is very durable.

Neat little item. Goes great with the little coupes or any riding toy.
Kids love pretending to fill their tanks. Sound effects are cute.

I purchased this toy as an "accessory" to my grandson's 2nd birthday gift -- the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe. Couldn't have made a better choice. We played all day, filling up his new car with gas. He was so excited to hear the sounds, and pretended to pay when his tank was full!

Our boys have lots of ride on toys. This is a fun addition to their collection. They use it even with their vehicles that don't have gas caps/gas tanks. It has three electronic buttons that make various noises. That definitely makes it more fun! Our nozzle is hard for my 2 year old and 3 1/2 year old sons to remove from the hole provided to store it.

Just got it today, but bought it from a different source, not Amazon. When they say credit card, I'm thinking of a sturdy piece of plastic, not some printed cardstock I cut out from the label. That's just ridiculous to think that that will last any longer than 1 minute. As with another person, the label looks like it was applied by a monkey with two left unopposable thumbs. Luckily, the corner was sticking up and I was able to gently peel it up and reapply it. The original box that it came in had no packaging material which is good for the environment, but you should've seen the box after FedEx got done with it. I agree, too, the sounds are awfully quiet. At this point, it's probably the best one out there if you need it now, but that's not saying much. I'm sure something better will come along in a short time, making me regret not having waited, but then hindsight is 20/20.
