Product Description

Editorial Review

Cook up a storm (or a symphony) with this 11-sound electronic kitchen center. Young chefs will enjoy preparing a gourmet extravaganza at the stove and microwave console, complete with light-up burners and three cooking sounds. When they turn on the faucet to clean up, they'll hear running water. And they can chat with their friends on the phone, which has four additional sounds and sits in a convenient stove-side bracket when not in use. Altogether there are 15 accessories, including cups, plates, knives and forks, and a frying pan. The main unit is approximately 42 inches high, 38 inches wide, and 18 inches deep and has several shelves and a removable cutting board. The screw-together construction requires adult assembly; four AA batteries (not included) are required for the lights and sound effects. Ah, the sound of onions sizzling in a frying pan--bon appétit! --Richard Farr

I am so thrilled with this kitchen! We purchased this kitchen for my daughter's 2nd Birthday. It is now a little over two months and she has played with it everyday. Many of the new kitchens are designed for two sided play. I like the idea but we needed one that we could put up against the wall. The sounds it makes are also very cute.

The assembly on it was easy except for one piece. I consider myself pretty good at assembling things but did run into a little problem attaching the counter piece to the rest of the kitchen. My Husband & I both tried and never truly got it in flush. It is probably just noticeable to us. It has no bearing on her playing with the kitchen.

The quality is top rate little tikes. It is their very durable plastic. I did send the phone back to the company because the volume was too low. They said they want back any items that aren't working properly when it is a new product. They issued a Fed Ex pickup and the phone was picked up from my home in two days. They have sent me a new phone and the volume on it is perfect. I was very impressed with their customer service.

My only complaint is that there is no refrigerator. We have ordered the Step 2 refrigerator to go along with this set as a Christmas present. Make sure you buy the Little Tikes Modern Food Set, Modern Kitchenware & Partyware set. They are great quality sets to go along with the kitchen. There are so many cheap quality food sets out there. Fisher Price also makes some cute food playsets.

Benjamin adores his kitchen! This was an early Christmas gift we purchased for our 2.5 year old to keep him entertained during our long winter. It truly has provide hours of fun as he "makes" hot tea for everyone, washes the dishes, and cooks cheeseburgers. Good size for a large bedroom. We did purchase additional dishes, cooking tools and play food to add to the fun. Looked at other kitchen sets and found this to be the best.

I bought this for my 18 month old for Christmas this year and she loves it! She especially likes to "dance" (a little wiggle) to the boiling water and clinking dish sounds. It took about 30 minutes to put together, and I needed my husband to put the top part above the microwave on, but the directions were fairly easy to follow. After much research, I decided that this kitchen was the best one to buy since it made the cooking sounds (boiling water, water running, bacon frying, and dishes clinking) and it wasn't too "girly" - we also have a 4 month old boy who will probably want to play with it eventually. It is also MUCH sturdier than any of the other brands of kitchens. And I liked the fact that it has a doll highchair hiding under the cutting board - one less thing to buy! The only drawback (in my opinion, not my daughter's) is that it does not have a refridgerator. Also, she is a wee bit too short for the cordless phone (mounted on the side of the microwave), but that will resolve itself in a matter of months...
