Very sturdy, well made toy!
Lissette Berdote-Barroso
There is no way to fix this either since the bar that keeps the legs in place can not be removed once it is put together.
Brunutt
It is also not a toy for a kid who is standing because they will have to sit down to play with it.

i like this toy, well the idea of it mostly.

here's what i dislike:
*the tool hangers are just awkward. they stick out far enough to scratch if your child falls near it. but they don't really hold the tools, they slide off.

*the height is more appropriate for sitters rather than walkers. looking at the picture you'll see the kid has to go on his knees to use it. something i didn't notice before buying. what adult has a tool bench they have to kneel or stoop to use? this will be a short lived toy.

*as for the fun of it. there's days he loves it and days he doesn't. so it mostly depends on his mood, overall not much to do, bang nails in, screw screws in, repeat.

here's what i like:
*it's a great idea.
*the tools are easy to clean, throw in dishwasher
* the colors are good

My 17 month old grandson loves this toy. When we first got it, he just liked to open and close the storage compartment, pull the "nails" in and out, pound on the top with the hammer, and walk around with the tools in his hand. Now he's also figuring out how to use the wrench and screwdriver, putting the parts in and out of the compartment.
I like that the parts are big enough not to be swallowed, the bench is colorful and sturdy, and that he has continued to maintain interest in it. The downside is that, in assembly, I must have done something wrong because the legs don't stay wide enough apart to be as sturdy (it doesn't change much in position from "open" to "closed." However, because it's lightweight, my grandson can pick it back up if he tips it over.

Couldn't believe how cheaply made this product was, especially since it's made by little tikes. I have been buying little tikes toys for 24 years and have never seen anything made as bad as this. It won't even stand up on ts own. Little tikes should really be ashamed of putting a product out like this.

Complete junk. Assembly was ridiculously tedious and pieces didn't fit properly. Spend a few more bucks and get something quality.

The nails are awkward, not really needing to be hammered. My son just pushes them into the holes. The tools fall off the hooks. He doesn't really play with it.

It took me 45 minutes to assemble this, and I usually have NO problems assembling toys or furniture. I think the plastic on the underside of my top piece is a bit off, I had to push and pull and wrestle with the back legs and finally bend the plastic a little bit to get them aligned to put the bar through the final hole. I had no problems with the front legs.

I found the instructions lacking, which is odd, because there really isn't that much to it. (Word of warning, make sure you notice that you should put the top piece of the toy on BEFORE you snap on the second capnut. I don't know how I missed that, but I guess I assumed it would show putting the top on clearly. It is very specific about the gears, so you would think that crucial step of putting the top on would be demonstrated a bit better.)

So I had to pry 2 capnuts back off, and they cannot be put back on, so I'm presently waiting to hear back from Little Tikes to see if they will send me an extra. Other than that, it appears to be sturdy, and I was eventually able to snap the back legs out (with great effort), and my 6 year old daughter is presently playing with it. I am going to have to put it away so my son doesn't play with it til I get that capnut and put it on, I don't want him to hurt himself of the end of the bar.

We bought this toy for our daughter who is 20 months and she loves it. I was hesitate to buy bc of the other reviews saying it falls down alot but i didnt have that problem....just make sure you pull the legs all the way out til you hear them SNAP into place then it will never fall.

My daughter purchased this toy at a garage sale. I assumed it was missing some pieces because it was used so I searched on-line to see if I could find replacement parts. What I found was an article on a massive recall of the blue and red "nails". I hope that the item being sold via Amazon does not include the nails, but they are still using the promotional picture that includes them.

I have never really liked this workbench - my 2 1/2 year old grandson does play with it daily but only for 2 minutes at a time. He either screws or hammers the plastic screws and then moves onto another toy.
