5.0 out of 5 stars Fun in the Fresh Air
Once our baby out grew the battery operated swing, we got this one for the porch. It has been a big hit! She loves the swinging motion and can enjoy the fresh air, watch the birds, while we all relax on the deck. We have even taken it on camping trips, attaching it to a tree limb. The only downside is that you have to keep it going manually.

3.0 out of 5 stars Hard to get in and out of
We recieved two swings around the same time, one for my daughter and one for my son. This swing is definitely much harder to get kids in and out of. I prefer a swing with a belt or something in front that you can just unbuckle and slide them in and out. It also doesn't grow with your child. The plastic seems like it would hold up, but we ended up putting it in storage...

I've bought this swing twice now, both times as a birthday gift for a one-year old niece/nephew. The kids are crazy about this swing--once they go in, they never want to get out! The swing is made from sturdy plastic that is molded into one piece; it's very easy to lift a child in and out of it, and there is an attached belt for safety. The swing nicely accomodates a one-year old child but slightly younger and a bit older would probably work too (the instructions indicate it holds up to 30 pounds). One minor issue is that you might need to obtain extra rope/chain in order to hang the swing properly--and you may have some trouble getting it straight--but overall, this a great gift that kids really enjoy.

My daughter is nine months old and difficult to entertain for any length of time. We bought this swing on a whim and it has turned out to be her favorite "toy". We can spend an hour swinging and singing in the back yard and we don't notice the time has passed. One note, we had to purchase extra rope to hang this swing at the proper level.

We bought this swing for a 20-month old toddler. We connected it to a Little Tikes swing set. It is the perfect height from the ground so that in the months ahead, her feet won't drag. The leg holes are wide enough for shoes to get in and out easily.
She loves it! I bought an extra one to send to her daycare provider. A must have for toddlers!

I got this on-line since my local store said it was "out of season" and they didn't have any swings in stock. I liked it
so much that I got back on line and got another one! It hooks right up to our swing set, and it is very sturdy. It's easy to get my kids in and out, and nothing to pinch their fingers in. My 2 year-old and 9 month-old both love it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Twisty ropes mar this otherwise great swing, February 15, 2002

I bought this swing to hang from our porch. It comes with pre-attached ropes that are not height-adjustable, so we had to get two pieces of chain to hang it at a safe level. Unfortunately, the nylon ropes that come with the swing have a tendency to twist against eachother so that the swing does not hang straight. It is pointed diagonally (this is not a problem of unevenness, so we can't slide the ropes through to fix the problem). I had hoped that the ropes would relax over time, but they haven't, and we just don't use the swing as much as we had planned. Otherwise I like the high back, large leg holes, and safety belt. I think I'll be replacing the ropes altogether.

5.0 out of 5 stars My 11 mo. old son loves this swing and I just got it today!, April 22, 2002

I would absolutely recommend this swing to any parent considering an outdoor swing like this! I just bought my 11 month old son this swing today and he was laughing and smiling for about 2 hours straight! I had bought a different type of swing (one with straps that go over his shoulders and a plastic T-bar type thing between the legs) and I couldn't get him out of it. So, to say the least, that one is going back.

About the ropes being uneven when you first get it, (I was a little nervous about it when I read all of these reviews) it was really easy to adjust by just pulling the rope from one side to the other. That made it even and Brandon was swinging within 5 minutes! This is the best swing that I have come across!

My son LOVES his swing! He got this swing at 6 months. At age 2 he still wants to swing in it. Its a sturdy swing, and I recomend it to anyone with a baby or toddler! Don't try it! But it can hold two kids!

I prefer a swing with a belt or something in front that you can just unbuckle and slide them in and out. It also doesn't grow with your child. The plastic seems like it would hold up, but we ended up putting it in storage for our next baby and we really didn't use it that long. We are still using my daughter's swing (also by Little Tikes) and they can both get themselves in and out of it. I would recommend buying something that you can use longer, even if it costs a little more.

Can't thank Little Tikes enough for this one! Our daughter started using this when she was just under 1 year old, and she'd stay in it forever if we let her! The lap-belt is an added plus...no concern of her flipping out over the safety bar. Since she is small for her age, she'll even be able to use it next year at 2 1/2 years old!
