Product Description

Editorial Review

What child doesn't associate summer with carefree afternoons spent in the yard running through the sprinkler? This cute plastic sea life sprinkler is easily connected to any garden hose (not included) and features functions that will grow along with your child. Young tots can push the starfish down for a stationary sprinkler with a gentle water spray; while older children can move the starfish to the "up" position and watch the fish spin and shoot water in all directions for lots of spraying, splashing fun. --Deb Oroszlan

3.0 out of 5 stars Sprinkler, September 3, 2005

Nice sprinkler, but does not always spin. You should be able to pop up or push down the middle top piece to get the sprinkler to either spin or not spin. The problem is that the top piece falls into the down position too easily therefore the sprinkler stops spinning, which then leads to a lot of "Mommy fix it!" issues!

3.0 out of 5 stars Stops spinning..., September 20, 2005

This could be a very fun summer sprinkler but the "spin" function stops working within a few minutes of turning it on. From this point on, the only way to get it to spin is to hand spin it to get it going for a few seconds, then it stops again. And without the spinning function, the sprinkler really doesn't even entertain toddlers...

3.0 out of 5 stars I'm glad I didn't spend a lot of money on this, August 6, 2005

Let me start off by saying that once we received the sprinkler, it sat on our porch for about 2 weeks before we actually used it. Regardless, once we hooked it up to the hose, everything seemed fine...at first. I followed the instructions and pulled the little star up for the water to start spinning around, which it did, for about all of 10 minutes. The spinning got slower and slower until it stopped and never spun again. For my daughters, ages 3.5 and 2, the lack of spin didn't really matter - they had fun running through the stationary water spray. However, I researched quite a few sprinklers before settling on this one, for the mere fact that it had the option of moving water for older toddlers and children - "it grows with your child." So, while I am disappointed that the spinning and spurting is reduced to only spurting, I'm glad that this is a relatively inexpensive sprinkler...not worth sending it back and paying shipping again.

Perhaps others will have a better experience, and mine was just a fluke.
