4.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Starter Laptop
Purchased this for my 18 month old and she loves it! She just loves to press the buttons, but can definitely see the potential for her to learn her letters as she gets older. I do not like the number feature. It is too delayed. Overall a great beginning laptop.

1.0 out of 5 stars Awful
We wanted to give this toy a chance when we received it for Christmas but now that it's almost 3 weeks past, it's still awful. Since it's supposed to be a "laptop" we felt it should have a QWERTY keyboard. If it's mainly for learning letters, then it should be called something else. It takes FOREVER to move onto the next task and when you press on a number it starts...

We wanted to give this toy a chance when we received it for Christmas but now that it's almost 3 weeks past, it's still awful. Since it's supposed to be a "laptop" we felt it should have a QWERTY keyboard. If it's mainly for learning letters, then it should be called something else. It takes FOREVER to move onto the next task and when you press on a number it starts counting up to that number. It doesn't really help you to learn that particular number because you could start pressing the numbers and it just says "ONE . . ." unless you press and then wait for the computer to count. What 2 year old is going to wait?? It has 3 different age settings and they're not much different. The only thing positive I can say about it is that it's a good size for a 2 year old and seems durable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great toy, October 2, 2009

I felt compelled to write a review becuase this is currently my son's favorite toy. He's had this since about 18 months, and now, he's 2 and still plays with it everyday. I realize every child is different and unique, just wanted you to know, that my kid loves it and he now says the letters and words when he pressed the letter on the laptop. It's a great toy.

This toy looked like a great gift for my 2-year old. When he plays with it, he screams and gets really frustrated b/c it takes forever to process what he is 'typing' on the laptop. If he pushes a letter, the song has to completely finish what it is doing before registering what my son has just entered into the laptop. Very frustrating and completely unsatisfied with the purchase.

This "laptop" is awful. We got it for our 2-year old daughter and she's already beyond it. The 3 different levels don't seem much different and the volume control goes from loud to louder. Since our daughter is interested in playing with it - she is very intrigued by computers - we had to put tape over the speaker. I don't understand why a toy that is meant to sit so close to the child needs to be so loud. As one other reviewer wrote, the number keys are not helpful since they count up to the number pressed. Our daughter presses one key and the next and the next, and all we hear is "one," "one," "one." It also is very slow to respond, so our daughter gets frustrated and confused, especially since she already knows her letters. And when she doesn't press anything, it still says to her "good job!" Um, what??? We fully expect this toy to be discarded soon as our daughter loses interest in the novelty of a new toy.

I bought several of these for my grandchildren, who are now 3 and were both 2 when I bought them. It was a good price and it is a very durable toy. The only thing I would change is to purchase one with a larger screen with pictures that do not look like stick figures. I'm sure there are better items out there with those features but for the price (I paid only $15 or $20) this was a good buy.

my daughter loves this laptop she brings it everytime we leave the house. It is very durable she drops it a lot because she is just 2. I would have liked it to have a light on the laptop but not really needed because she is always in a lighted area when she is playing but would have been nice for car rides at night time. The only other dislike i have is that you can't just click on a letter and have it say the letter you have to wait for the animation to stop then click the next letter.
