I recently bought this Little Tikes Patrol Car and was quite disappointed with it. Although it is durable and had the potential of being a lot of fun for my 21 month old son, it was too small for him. The toy is recommended for kids between the ages of 1 1/2 -5, and there is no way this can be true. He is about 33 inches tall, and weighs 28 pounds. Even with the floor board removed, his head almost touches the top of the car. It is also very narrow, leaving him little room to move or turn the steering wheel. I figure, if my son really wanted to, he could play with this for a couple of months, but then it's off to storage for our next child. I would like to return this item, but it would be a pain to take apart. I also don't want to pay more money for returning it.

My 2 year old loves this car. He has played with it everyday since he got it. It is pretty small, seems smaller than the original cozy coupe, although I haven't actually compared them. My 5 year old is very cramped in it and it is supposed to be for up to age 5. In the description it said, includes, "An electronic microphone with flashing lights and 7 siren sound patterns" which it does not. There are no lights or siren noises (not sure if that is a bad thing or not though). As for durability, one of the red covers on the wheels fell off on the 2nd day. It's not a problem, the wheel is still secure and turns fine, it just looks a little funny.

This is the second time I purchased the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe from Amazon. The first time I purchased it (the original 30th Anniversary Cozy Coupe Little Tikes Cozy Coupe 30th Anniversary Car), it was for my wife's nephew who absolutely adores it. This time, I ordered this one specifically because it was the police car version of the Cozy Coupe and my brother is in fact a police officer. So I thought it was a nice personal touch to have this one specifically for him.

Installation the first time (the original Cozy Coupe) was a pain in the butt because the directions are simply just pictures. I think I'm a fairly technical person but still, I had to glance back and forth between the part and the picture to make sure I was doing it right. Overall it took me about an hour to get it all together. The second time I installed it, I was done in 30 minutes... stickers and all. Just be sure to have a hammer and screwdriver and you're set.

The age says the limit is 18 months to 5 years old but we gave these cars as a present when both my nephews hit 12 months old. I didn't see any problems with the car at all. Both my nephews adore it (they scream and laugh when in the car and you push them around).

The nice thing about the cozy coupe is that it "kind of" acts like a stroller. You can put your kid in it and just push him around (there's a handle on top) and there are two drink holders near the back. The bottom cover of the car is removable so that your child (when he gets older) can walk around by himself similar to Fred Flinstone. The steering wheel turns (but doesn't provide direction), the horn beeps, and the key in the ignition makes a clicky sound.

Construction of the actual car is made of metal parts and hard durable plastic.

This is highly recommended and is one of the few toys that can last for several years.

Well, I was disappointed with our new coupe. We had used an old one at a neighbor's house and loved it. The new one is much smaller overall. My 2 1/2 year old is too big for it, he can't move his legs to drive it and when we push him his feet get caught. He's just average in size. My husband has put tons of toys and furniture pieces together and he said this is the worst thing he's ever put together. And the materials are cheap, it scuffs easily and will dent easily. So I wish we could've found an old one in good condition and just bought that instead of putting $45 into this new one. Luckily I have a second child who will get some use out of it but I wouldn't have bought it had I seen it put together in the store.

My son had a cozy coupe many years ago. He totally loved it and it lasted a long time. He passed away at 31 and when I saw this police car coupe, I had to have it for my grandson. Only a year old, he knows how to open and close the door and drive it. I'm sure he'll have as much fun with it as my son did his. And the price was right, too. Thumbs up to Little Tykes.

Cute car that moves well. However, it is a little bit cheap. The parts don't fit perfectly together and the roof tends to pop off (even when nobody is touching it) and the door doesn't stay closed (even when the latch is engaged). My son loves this toy, but he gets frustrated with the door. We have tried to take it apart and put it together again to try and remedy the problem, but the door still swings open.

I just spent two and half hours to put this thing together. Let me start off by saying that this is the worst experience ever for me to assemble anything. I am not any expert when it comes to setting up something, but I have assembled lots of toys plus the crib myself for my now 1 year old son, and this one is truly a pain in the neck.

I am also very disappointed in that this model did not come with the microphone, flashing lights and siren sound...while I read that the original patrol has all of them. What's special about the 30th anniversary then? You would think it would come with something new and unique that the original doesn't have, not the other way around. Okay, maybe to me this one looks much cuter than the original, but still...it doesn't justify "anniversary". I almost wanted to return it, after this afternoon's work putting it together, because my 1 year old did not seem to take much interest sitting in it. While trying our first "ride", I also found the "handle" on top of the patrol very uncomfortable if not completely useless, because it's so low that I have to bend my back in order to grab and push it. I'm only 5'1, so not sure how many parents would find it helpful. I chose to keep it for now because it would be such a pain to diassemble it and pay for the shipping back.

The only pro so far is that my son looks super cute in it. It seems to be a lot fun too--although on our first ride earlier today my son did not have a whole lot interest in it as I mentioned earlier. But I have had experiences in the past that when he did not take interest in something right away sometimes he would later, plus it says that it's for kids 1-1/2 to 5 (my son just turned one). So I am going to give it some time. Let's see...

Lastly I want to mention that I was disappointed when I opened the box, because it did not look like something of high quality. I even said to myself well it looks like it's been used and returned, since there are scraches and dust on the body, which btw came in the box "naked", i.e., not even a simple plastic bag wrapping around it. At this point, I can only give this product 3 stars top (I wish that I could give 2.5), and I want to point out that I am not a picky person at all...I truly think that the design of this product can be improved, as well as for the overall quality of it.

I am a single mother and I put this together in LESS THEN A HOUR BY MYSELF! Yes, there's quite a bit to put together but it's so easy and common sense. My very large (99 percentile for height and weight) 2.5 year old LOVES it! He fits in it nicely with plenty of room to grow. I didn't read the reviews when I bought it...I did when it was already in transit and I was afraid, as a single mom who sucks at putting things together, that I was going to eppicly fail! However, it was so easy and I did time myself! 44 minutes alone and waiting for my son to get home from school! So take another 5 minutes odd that or so. It is a single passenger car, only one child, no matter the size, will fit in it. Great buy! Don't let the other reviews scare you with putting it together!! If I can do it, you can do it!

Product came in perfect condition. All the parts were in the package. It took me 1 hour to assemble all the pieces together and it was not that difficult. You will need a hammer, screwdriver and a solid surface to assemble the parts. I used an online video from you tube "Little Tikes assembly part 1 and 2" to help me with the process but take in mind is for reference only and is not 100% accurate since they have updated some instructions and parts. My son will love this product for Christmas and I would buy again if needed.
