Little Tikes: Patrol Police Car Ride-On

Easy to assembly. Our little grandson loves his police car. This is the first toy he plays with each day, climbing in and out of the car, playing with the radio, and going all over the house with whatever other toys he can tote in the back of the car. He also likes to just sit in the car, and watch what is going on around him. When he has been away from his home for a few days, the first thing he does is run to his car when he arrives home. I am looking to buy two more of these little tike cars for his cousins this Christmas.

My son received this from his grandmother as an early birthday gift. When he first saw it, he got a big grin on his face and climbed right in. Besides "driving" it around, he loves to just climbs in and out of it, open and close the door, and push the button on the "radio", which makes 2 different siren sounds. I often see him just sitting inside the car smiling. It is great for imaginary play!

My son received this car for his 2nd birthday and was an instant hit! He enjoyed playing with the walkie talkie and running around all over the yard and house with it. His sister would pile in next to him just for the ride. This is the same great quality as the yellow/orange car but with a couple of extra features. My son is into trucks, fire trucks, police cars so this was a perfect gift for him. He loves to tell people that the real police have a car LIKE HIS! In a yrs time we have had no problems with this toy and is still in great condition - the only problem we have ever had is my son wants it in the house so he can play with it when it's raining or snowing out! Another great product from Little Tikes.

We bought this knowing that our 2 1/2 year old already enjoyed playing with the original Little Tikes Coupe because she plays with it at her cousin's house. She loves the additional feature of the cb radio, though she uses it as a car phone instead. I foresee many years of creative/active fun with this toy especially since my 6 year old niece also enjoyed playing with it once it was put together.

I bought the police car for my 1 year old on his first birthday. He loves it and likes to climb in out out of it by himself. I thought it would be a perfect way for him to play in the yard with his 3 year old brother . . . who has several bikes of his own. However, my 3 year old has taken a liking to the police car and would rather ride in it than on his own bike. It's a great toy and I know it will give us years of fun to come.

This was the highlight of our son's Christmas. He loves this toy and it is "manuverable" enough for our 2 year old to "drive" and tough enough for older children as well. A great choice.

I recall having difficulties putting this car together, but we've had it for over a year so I have no recent aggravation to vent re: assembly. My stickers did not peel off properly ( the sticky backing came off the colorful side of the sticker) so I had to have new ones sent to me. I was quite dissapointed at how difficult our door is to open and shut as well. We also have had numerous rollovers where the car has topled onto our kids while they are trying to get either in or out of the car. No one has gotten seriously hurt, but I don't like that this happens and the kids get startled and cry out for help. The rollovers happened a lot when they were younger, but they are now 25 & 39 mo old and it still happens! So beware and watch your children carefully when they play with these cars. I do not believe that rollover is isolated to this police car because they are all essentially the same-just different colors and styling. We also have the Monster Truck and that one has NOT ever tipped over. Nonetheless, my kids do really enjoy playing with these cars.

My son recieved this for his 2 year birthday. He absolutely loves it. The car is great. So far no problems, everything seems secure and of good quality. The siren is a nice touch, and it's not to loud or abnoxious, although the lights on top don't turn on (the picture on the website is deceiving). The horn works good and there's a "trunk" in back for him to put stuff in.

But there's always a catch! Assembly was a nightmare. While putting this together, I discovered that the hole where the gas tank snaps on had a piece of plastic missing around the edge (it was cracked). So I had to return it and get a new one. That was a total pain and the people at Toys R Us actually gave me a hard time when i wanted to exchange it for another one that wasn't defective (what???!!!) Aside from that, the actual assembly process went very slow. Not a fun thing to do. Some of the parts were really difficult to screw together and putting the wheels on was the worst. But it's still a really cute and fun toy, so just be prepared to be there awhile putting it together. I think it took me an hour!

We bought this for our son when he turned 1. He LOVED it and still loves it (he's 2 now). It's well put together and great for hours of fun. I know he'll be enjoying this car for may years. I'd highly recommend it to anyone!

My son received this as a 1st birthday present recently and even though his legs are not quite long enough to "drive" it himself, he loves to get in and out of the car and play with the horn and the cb siren. The siren is loud enough to entertain him but not so loud that it drives mom and dad crazy! He also loves to get behind the car and push it around the house as well as being in it and getting pushed around (until he can cruise on his own). We have been very pleased with this so far and look forward to several years of use. It seems to be well made and I actually assembled this myself. A+!
