I bought this for my 2 and 4 yr olds. It was easy to click together but it has screws to make it more stable and was hard to screw by hand. It's cute but there is nothing inside but a little shelf that is supposed to act as a stove top, with a couple stickers that look like burners. The description said fireplace inside, the inside wall of the house just has what is supposed to be a fireplace, not a sticker, not a dif color or anything. For $[...], I don't think it was worth it. My 4 yr old was in it once. It doesn't even have a any place to put the little plastic food and utensils that came with it, so they stay on the floor. I liked the attached table but other than that, I don't think it's worth it. I wish I would have spent more and got a nicer one. My 4 yr olds head hits the roof too.

My husband and I put the playhouse together using a power drill and a screwdriver in about 45 minutes. My husband also screwed a small garage mat to the bottom of the playhouse so Serenity would have a floor to sweep or "vacuum".
The pretend stove is small. Just like one reviewer said, more like a "little shelf" (that doubles as a base for the cordless phone), but it serves its purpose and makes the small playhouse a bit roomier. I've ordered an older model 24" Step 2 fridge to put in the playhouse so Serenity has a place to put her food. I'll probably get a little plastic crate to store her dishes to solve the problem of the lack of real cabinets. I do bring all the little items in the playhouse in at night because I don't want them getting messed up - so no cabinets isn't that big of a problem. Right now, Serenity has her Little Tikes doll high chair in the playhouse, and when I add the Step 2 fridge, there will still be plenty of room for her to play and move around. There is a molded rock fireplace, two cabinets, an oven, a microwave, floor boards, two electrical outlets, a floor lamp and a clock. I will probably try to paint them using Krylon Fusion Spray Paint to add some color and definition inside the house. The table is pretty big, and the benches are very sturdy. My 125 pound cousin sat on one and it didn't bend. I think it would've been great if the table folded down, but that's not a big deal! The door bell takes 3 AAA batteries (I used rechargeable ones) and it makes 6 cute different sounds. The bell isn't very loud, but Serenity still likes pushing it over and over! The door has a mail slot and it's real easy to swing open and close. I think it's the perfect size house that will grow with her. Serenity is 15 1/2 months old and I can see this playhouse lasting until she's 3 or 4. By then, she'll be ready to move on to a bigger house. It also teaches her how to interact with others, learn about different foods, clean, "cook", and keeps her imagination active! This is a pretty basic playhouse, but I like that. Other than the door bell, nothing else requires batteries! Nothing "talks" or makes tons of noise! I think it's the perfect playhouse for a girl OR a boy (or a girl AND a boy!) - the colors are very neutral. I'm very pleased with it and so is Serenity! UPDATE: This house survived TWO hurricanes - Ike and Gustav! I had tons of stuff to do before evacuating for BOTH hurricanes and had no time to worry about Serenity's playhouse. So we shoved it against the house between the AC unit and the screened porch and hoped for the best. When we got home after Gustav I was surprised it was still standing. Imagine my amazement when it was STILL standing after Ike! We had a tree fall on our shed and two that fell in the bayou behind the house, but somehow, this playhouse stood strong. I saw Little Tikes and Step 2 houses all along the bayous and roads of Houma - I'm so glad Serenity still has her little house!

I bought this toy for my 17 month old and my 8 year old. Both kids can fit inside and love it! We got it together in about an hour. You do have to drill your own holes for the screws and the "tap the screw with a hammer" trick in the instructions does not work.
This is a great house. It is roomy inside (my husband, our 17month old and myself fit inside with a fair amount of squishing lol) but it is not a huge thing either.. We have it in the livingroom for now as our weather in Oregon is less than ideal for outdoor play. Kids love the play food, doorbell, whatever will fit / mail slot, and of course just going in and out of the door over and over is tons of fun!.

Our son bought this playhouse for his year old daughter. Of course, she can't experience yet the many hours of fun she will have with this playhouse, though she is already loving to crawl around in it and get into whatever she can. It seems pretty sturdy for the price and just what he wanted. My daughter-in-law and myself put it together in 2 hrs. The down side was there is nothing pre-drilled. That would have made it a lot easier. Personally, I like pictures and written directions and not just pictures. But other than those 2 things, it is great and going to give her years of fun.

The playhouse is perfect for my 22-month-old grandchildren (triplets). It is exactly what I expected and wanted after researching many playhouses on line. The kids just love coming in and out the door and sometimes in and out the windows as well. They also enjoy sitting at the picnic table. I also love the fact that it can be just as easily used inside the home now when the weather is cold.HOWEVER, this item was purchased as new through BabyAge and also shipped by BabyAge. This purchase was a Christmas gift, and upon assembly Christmas eve it was pretty disappointing to find that several parts were missing. A sealed plastic bag containing accessories and screws had apparently been hand-ripped open and some parts removed. After Christmas I contacted Little Tikes directly, who promptly sent the missing pieces. Excellent product BUT not happy at all to purchase something with missing pieces.

I investigated for months before purchasing a playhouse for my son who was 2 1/2 when I purchased this one. My son just turned three and he loves playing in his play house! Hours of daily fun. Perfect size with lots of room to grow! Great choice!

Great value for the money. My daughter just turned 2 and loves it! She cooks for us and the little bench on the side even serves as small table when we are all eating outside. Easy to ensemble, my nanny put it together for me by herself without us even asking as she was so exited to play with my daughter. Loves it! The only thing I would have like better if it had own flooring instead of standing in our patio floor as it gets dirty more easily and also ants or small bugs can crawl in.
