Little Tikes Ride 'N Rescue Coupe

All over the coupe where the molds met up, the plastic sticks out and creates a sharp and dangerous edge. My husband spent a lot of time with a razor shaving down these sharp spots. Also, one part of the molded plastic did not match up because the mold was a bit off so that was a huge pain trying to force the pieces to fit. We purchased the cozy coupe because I have seen many still around after 8 or ten years but I can not imagine this one lasting nearly that long. The plastic is a lot thinner than the good ol' days. (And I'm only 25!)
My son does love his coupe but this is the third Little Tikes product I have had a problem with so we will be sticking to Step 2 for plastic molded items from now on.
To summarize, if you have ever handled an older cozy coupe, this item is less durable, awful to assemble, but still fun for the kids.

My niece received this for her first birthday and the next morning her daddy spent a couple of hours putting it together. We moved it into the kitchen and let the baby crawl over and check it out. After a little while I put her in the seat and she sat there reaching for the walkie talkie device, while munching on her cracker.

She is younger than the recommended age and she did slip off the seat the first time, but I was right there to put her back on and it hasn't happened since.

After nearly two months of playing with it in the house, she pretends to talk into the walkie talkie, when she is not licking it, and likes to push the horn. She can drive backwards in the car from one end of the room to the other, but we have to "assist" her in going forwards.

Unlike some of the other reviewers there were no pointy or sharp pieces of plastic which needed to be filed down. She loves to push the buttons and turn the wheel to "drive."

It was fun to put together (if you can "read" pictures) and more fun to watch my grandson play with. It is small enough to use around the house (he keeps it in his bedroom), but still great in the backyard.

This is a great toy with nice graphics and plenty of play value.

We bought this for our son for his first birthday. Although the age rec. is older he loves it. His older brother is 3 and already has the cozy coupe. We couldn't have 2 boys playing with one one car. I did quite of bit of research on ride-on toys to find the best one to add to our backyard. In the end I decided with this car because I figured we've already had the cozy coupe for 2 years and it's held up beautifully. Little Tikes is also a good brand. I didn't put the car together but I assume it is probably the same diffuculty as the cozy coupe. Which I remember my husband complaining about putting it together. After all is done and put together, it is a great car. It was also a big hit at our play group that was held at our home a few weeks ago.

We got the Ride and Rescue Cozy Coupe for my son's 2nd birthday. We have a hand-me-down Cozy Coupe that belonged to my nephew. It is 12 years old. My older son used it and my 2 year old still does too. But, it is getting time to retire it. When we got the Ride and Rescue Cozy Coupe, we were very excited. When my husband started putting it together, the excitement left quickly. The plastic is very soft and makes it difficult to "snap" the pieces together. The decals do not go on that great and do not stay on that well. There is a reflective light for the top. You need to drill the holes yourself to put it on. It may not seem like a big deal, but it would have been nice if the holes would have been predrilled. All of the other holes are. Both of our sons love it, but it will not last as long as the "orignal" Cozy Coupe. The plastic is way cheaper and the quality is just not there. Step 2 makes a fire truck that is similar. My kids have played with it and it does seem to be made a little better. I cannot say I would not recommend it, but if you do buy it, be prepared for a headache putting it togehter.

This is the second one of these my wife and I bought for our grandchildren and they love to play in them.

Bought this back in 2009 but this has stood the test of time. My daughter loved this from the moment she got it and up until recently when we sold it since she too big for it. The noise parts never failed, never had to replace batteries or any parts. Never had to oil the wheels. The only issue we did have was the sticker parts started to peel halfway off. Other than that, it was well loved and thoroughly enjoyed.

My grandson loves his Ride N Rescue Coupe. He loves the siren & the pretend radio. My granddaughter loved it so much we had to buy her one.

We purchased this for our grandson's 1st Birthday. I asked my niece (who owns 2 pre-schools) what would be good for a 1 year old. She looked out the window and saw at least 13 Little Tikes Coupes all being used by happily playing little ones. It took my husband and son, our grandsons father, about l hour to put the coupe together. They said the directions could have been better but the product itself was of excellent quality. They said the hardest part was placing the top of the coupe on the body of the car, and that there was about 20-30 detailed stickers that needed to be placed on the coupe but once that was accomplished it made the little rescue coupe a very detailed fun car. Our grandson loves the car. He can get in and out by himself. He is still only going in reverse but that does not seem to bother him at all. He also pushes it around. It has really helped him with his balance and walking. I can see this little car giving years of enjoyment. I highly recommend this for any little boy or girl. Money well spent.

Okay, so I read all of the reviews before I bought this item. I saw the comments about the troubles putting it together but I figured that I could do it since I've put every other toy together. Wrong! When I got the part where I had to put the front legs of the roof portion into the base of the car it was so tough...I had to call my husband and he had to use a rubber mallet with all of his might just to get it into place. It was ridiculous. Come on Little Tykes...do this for us! I don't mind putting together wheels and the little things, but having to use that much force myself is a hazard and we could have easily damaged the product because it was so hard to put in.

Also, the lights on top don't light up which is a bummer. If you put lights on top they should do something than just sit there...my little guy will be a bit bummed about that I think. But, I know that he'll like riding it.
