I have 3 children ages 8,3 and 2. It takes 2 people to put this together and it takes extra tools. You have to go through alot of trouble just to get the table down flat. Too many holes that hold rain water. The benches bow with my 25 pound 2yr old on it. I would not try to put more than 4 small children on this table. It has not colapsed yet, but it looks like it could at anytime. The height is good. My children love it so we have kept it. Not one of Little Tikes best designs and not worth the price.

This is a very durable table we purchased for our 4 year old and 20 month old children. To say they love the table is an understatement. It is the perfect height for both of them to enjoy and it is very stable. The last reviewer mentioned that it would not support an adult, but I'm not sure why an adult would want to sit at a table made for children. We also purchased the market umbrella that fits very snugly in the center hole of the table... and, I might add, looks great with the rest of our lawn/patio furniture minus the splinters! The bolts in the seats are nicely recessed so they will not be a snagging hazard. We also like the hose down & wipe cleaning aspect of this furniture for those messy craft days. There are even discreet notches along the edges of the table to allow for rain/water to run off the sides & not collect.

As far as the assembly goes, I do agree with the last reviewer that this was a challenge to put together. The directions are good, except that I also needed a flathead screwdriver & I needed pliers to tighten the wingnuts at the end... I also found it helpful to use props as I would tighten screws, since I was doing this project alone. I assembled it on our deck & started on the picnic table, as the directions recommended. But without another set of hands I had to prop the legs on the edge of the recycle bin as I screwed them to the bench seats (Illus. 2). When I progressed to screwing the table to the legs, I found that an empty square juice bottle was just right to prop the legs to position the hinge pegs properly as I screwed the housings in place for the leg joints (Illus. 14). I'm not sure if I am using the right terminology for someone who is mechanically inclined, but hope this is helpful advice nonetheless.

Well, I'm off to make a picnic lunch for 2 very excited girls... a picnic in 40 degrees?... Why not! Great buy!

Along with the other reviews that describe the difficulty in putting the table together, I have to say that in the 2 days that we have had the table "up", it has collapsed 3 times.

The first time I thought it was just because I tried to sit on the table and that one of the legs wasn't locked, but then I made sure that all the legs were in their correct positions and it still collapsed a while later with two kids on it.

It would be a nice table, size wise and the natural tones, but if we can't get it to stay up, it will have to go back.

We received this as a gift for my son's second birthday. We were excited to have some furniture for him that was at his own level instead of using a booster seat for our patio furniture.

Unfortunately, my husband had to pull out his tool box, actually READ the directions, and get the assistance of two family members before we got this thing assembled.

However, once it was done my son was delighted and we have gotten great use out of it.

I am confused as to why it is referred to as fold and store as my husband just struggled to put it away for the winter.

I was very excited to finally find a table that would hold my 3 girls (twins age 6 and another age 3) and my 3 nephews (age 7, 5, and 3). The box says that this table will fit up to 8 children and is recommended for children 2 - 8 years of age. Therefore I was very disappointed when two of the kids (and not the biggest ones) sat on the same side and the bench started bowing. This happened during the first time we used the table. We checked all bolts and they were tight. The table does not support very much weight on each side. Note: The heaviest of these six children only weighs 50 lbs. We will be returning this product.

Same complaints as the others. Should have read this review section. I actually went to the store to by the Easy Store Picnic Table that is Red and Blue but they no longer have it. This one was brought up and I said "what the heck!"

Pros:

None

Cons:

1. It was very irritating to put together (guess it didn't help with my 20 month daughter "helping").

2. Seats deflect when pressure is applied.

3. Crayons don't wipe off unless you use a sandblaster.

4. Certainly not "easy store" considering you gotta break out the tools to collapse it.

5. My wife and I wanna be at the table with her to draw, write, color etc. so the table is not conducive to that.

I wouldn't put more than 2 toddlers at the table (less than 30 or 40lbs)

We're gonna go pick up the Wood Primary Table Set. Those chairs can hold our weight if need be. We would at least be able to sit on the ground closer to the table. Probably be better off sitting at the dining room table.
