I bought this for my son's birthday party. I figured that I would buy it for something to do at the party and then re-sell it in the classifieds.
Well, my son fell in love with it (it was his first birthday) and we decided to keep it!. All three babies at the party played in it for three hours straight! It is a lot bigger than the picture displays- I would guess it is 8 feet by 6 feet blown up. It held up really well-considering that it had babies crawling over the netting to get in and bouncing on the sides. We had three babies and two adults in there at one time with room to spare (it is huge!) I have had it set up in my living room for three days (has lost a little air which is normal) and he plays in it every moment we are home. He wakes up and goes straight to the living room.
It is educational--my son has learned how to throw the little soccer ball that comes with it and catch the ball. It comes with 25 balls, I bought an extra 175 and it didn't even cover the floor of the ball pit. So I would guess that 600 will fill it up.
My son is not easily entertained normally--so I am surprised at how much he plays with this. It highly recommend it for parties and for playing in at home!

My son received this toy as a birthday gift. When we blew it up, the goal posts ripped away from the base causing two 1" gashes in the seam. This is definitely a design flaw and is completely irreparable. When I contacted Little Tikes they said this was not their product and sent me to the company BetterToyz. The phone number for BetterToyz is no longer in service and when I reached them via e-mail they told me it was a Little Tikes product and I would have to go thru them with any warranty. Complete mess and total confusion!

great toy, should include more of the small balls. It is the only difference from what it is presented on the picture.

I found that to help preserve this toy I ended up laying this particular ball pit on a towel, or mat, to help prevent scratches from piercing holes along the bottom. The plastic is light and easily inflates, which likely is the reason this unit will not handle wear as easily as a more heavy duty ball pit. The pit is about as large as a pool table and you should have about 400 balls to effectively fill this pit.. the added mini soccer balls and soccer goal design makes it fun to inject a little game among toddlers who play in this pit. Just be careful not to have anything that will scuff, or otherwise pierce, this pit.

We purchased this product in February. My kids loved it. Both goal posts had leaks in it after 2 weeks. When we called Little Tykes, they would not assist in anyway. They were still able to play with it. However, the main section sprung a leak in it yesterday. While it was fun for my kids, it lasted only two months. It'd be easier to buy an inflatable pool and fill up with balls.

We got this for our 20 month old for xmas but it is so HUGE that it can only be brought out occasionally. It is literally the size of a full sized bed so if you don't have room for it, you might want to reconsider this particular toy for a smaller ball pit. Other than that, it so so much fun and our son just loves it! Oh, and we bought an additional 100 balls and it still doesn't cover half of the bottom. I still give it 5 stars because I know it will get played with for years to come albeit that it will only will be out occasionally.
