Of course, any kid who loves Thomas will be thrilled with this bed. We have had it for almost a year now, and my four-year-old still likes to run trains and cars in the "track" down the sides of the bed. Important note: I did not read carefully, but you MUST buy and cut a piece of plywood or the mattress will fall through the bed to the floor. (It says that in the description, but I missed it.) Thank goodness my husband was home from Iraq at the time to take care of this pretty important detail! A very durable bed. I can get into the bed myself to snuggle my son at night. After a year, it is still holding up very well!

We bought this as our son loves everything Thomas. It was time for our 2.5 year old son to move to his own bed. After we got his bed my son goes to sleep on this bed. The only issue with the bed is that it does not come with any base for the mattress. Other thatn that it is a great children bed.

everything was great! great bed, easy to assemble, my son loves it. Though he still wants to sleep in my bed, but he does play in it, that's a good sign, huh?

hi there, i bought this for my grandson for x-mas i already gave it him because he wont be here for x-mas. my son and his wife put it togethere it was very easy to do.. and my grandson love it.. he is in thomas the train alot.. he even sleep in it all night..

If your kid loves Thomas and Friends, you'd better buy this bed! I was so impressed with his reaction. He gave me a big kiss and , with a smile he said "Thank you mommy"........That moment was PRICELESS!!!!!!!

My little man loves his Thomas bed. He's been sleeping in it everynight. When he arrived home from daycare I had the bed set up and ready for him. When he seen it, he jumped up and down, kissed and hugged the Thomas face. It was a wonderful and happy sight to see. I did my reading on the bed and read alot of reviews for the bed and noticed that the only complaints from customers who brought the bed, was that they wished it had or came with some kind of support for the mattress. A few people suggest buying some type of plywood for support. However, if your baby had a crib already, all you needed to do was to break down the crib and use the spring support that helped hold up the crib mattress, since the bed uses a standard crib mattress. The spring support fits perfect on the Thomas bed and holds the mattress good; no slipping or sliding. No purchasing any plywood.

Just an idea.

I love the bed, my son loves the bed, we're all happy. This was a great buy.

Little Tikes Thomas & Friends Toddler Bed Box We bought this as a Christmas gift for our 2 yr. old son.
It arrived very quickly from Amazon.com. I had a few reservations buying without seeing it in person, but it is so much cuter
than pictured. My husband and I had no problem putting it together. It only took about 15 minutes. We did have a little trouble
sliding the side rails into the headboard, had to tap them into place with a rubber mallet.
Overall we love it. Definitely remember to get a piece of plywood to place under the mattress for support. We tried it without
it for one night. Went to Lowes the next morning for it.
Hoping our son will be sleeping the whole night in it soon, very soon. That's our goal for 2011.
We definitely recommend it for any Thomas the train fan!

I had read that putting this item together would not be easy but when it arrived my son could not wait for me to get home so my wife and himself put it together in about 30 mins. Item shipped the same day it was ordered and arrived 4 days before it was originally scheduled. Since having his new bed my son now tells us he is ready to go to bed or that he needs to go rest. It has made the transition from his crib a piece of cake. If your kid likes Thomas this is a gift he or she will love.

This was the only thing that made my son want to stay in his own bedroom. He already had beautiful furniture but when he only wanted to sleep in the bed with mommy and daddy we knew we had to do something. For the price of this bed, it was so worth it. He will probably only use it for about 2 years but totally worth it. He thinks it is the coolest thing ever. As soon as it came we ran out to get the wood cut for under the mattress (you will need to do this). We put it together and my son said " I am tired I think I will go take a nap". He put himself into his new bed and took a 2 hour nap. Gotta love the new bed!

Our son will be 3 this week and has had this bed for almost a year. It's still in great shape and he still loves it! We used the piece of plywood that came with our crib under the mattress in this bed. If your crib has something like that, it should fit perfectly. Our little guy is tall for his age and still fits in the bed just fine. I think we'll get another year out of it and get him a twin bed when he's 4. This bed made the transition from the crib easy and FUN for him. If your child LOVES Thomas, this is a great bed!
