I bought this for my 3yr old son over a year ago, and he still plays with it all the time. Our walk-out basement has a big open area we use for playtime when the weather is bad, and this is a nice addition for the downstairs entertainment.

It was very easy to put together, and it comes with one basketall, which is just the right size for little hands. There are two models available: one has adjustable height (with blue column), but this model (with yellow column) is not adjustable.

(We have neighbors who use theirs outside; there is a cap you can take off to fill the bottom with sand, so it doesn't blow over.) This is a favorite among all the little neighborhood kids.

We also have the Little Tikes Totsports Bowling Set, so our son doesn't get cabin fever during snow-ins or rainstorms.

As you can see my son LOVES the basketball hoop, but the rim just isn't secure in the headboard. After about 5-10 shots it falls out. I'm going to bring this one back and search for a different one.

We purchased this for our 20 month old son. Overall it is nice. Lightweight so if it falls it won't hurt him but the rim comes out of the back board very easy. Our son isn't pulling on the net, simply a few throws of the ball and it falls out. It is not a secure fit but the assembly was very easy, no tools or screws.

I am not sure how it is adjustable in height like the other reviewer states. It is nice indoor and you can fill the bottom with sand or water but it isn't too top heavy and you can get away with out putting the weight on bottom.

If the rim would stay on better this would be 5 stars.

Everyone who commented about this product being adjustable is reviewing the wrong toy (Little Tikes does make one, but as a previous poster said, it's blue not yellow).

We have had it a few weeks and have had no problems with it. I was disappointed that the box says 18 months and up. My son is 19 months and is over 98th percent in height and he is too small to be able to reach the goal. I really wish I would have waited until his birthday, he will get much more use out of it then. Needless to say he doesn't play with it too much since he can't make it into the goal (though Daddy is having a blast haha), he tries enough but gives up of course. You definitely need some sand to weight it down, I knocked it over the other day while vacuuming.

It's flimsy. Jacques loves it, but the ring falls out every second throw. The stem is a loose fit and wobbly, even when filled with sand, and the adjustable bit, whilst a great idea, is poorly executed.

I wouldn't recommend this unless you had a lot of epoxy and superglue to tighten up all the loose joints.

I purchased this item for my son's second birthday. He received this gift last and I am glad he did because he did not want to play with anything else. It is made from the same hard plastic as the other items we have purchased and it seems durable enough. The only problem that I had with this is when I attempted to remove the cover to place sand in the bottom, I felt as though I was going to break the cover trying to get it off. We eventually did remove it but not without the help of some tools.

My son received this for his 1st birthday. Because he wasn't even walking yet, we didn't set it up until he was 14 months old. He's still too young for it (doesn't know how to throw a ball and the rim is too high), but this doesn't stop him from shrilling with excitement when he sees me toss in a few shots. He then chases the ball around and holds it over his head as he approaches the hoop. His best shot is to drop the ball to his feet. I clap and tell him good job, because really -- it is the best he can do. He gleams with pride over his new accomplishment. All great fun!

I love Basketball, and I suppose the aunt who bought this for him did so knowing I'd enjoy it. We live in North East Wisconsin and on those winter days where you can't go outside for anything (not even the mail), this does the trick. It doesn't take up a lot of space (just stands against the wall, hardly noticeable amongst a floor full of toys), and is really light weight.

Assembly is easy, and when fitted properly the rim will not fall off (I know, because I did have it fall off at first, like other reviewers said, but then I just put it in properly and have had no problems since -- so the rim complaints seem more like a user problem than a manufacture's one).

This is not the adjustable hoop, but I feel like it might be more steady this way. You can put sand or something else in the base to stabilize it, but I'm fine with it as is.

I'd give it a solid 4.5 stars. I am really glad we have it on miserable winter days.

The hoops is higher than I thought it would be. The toy is better suited for preschoolers than toddlers. My 2 yo is pretty tall but there's no way he can get the ball in the hoop. I put it one step down from our deck and that helps a lot. It's not a big deal since he'll grow into it. You'll want to put sand in the bottom to secure it. Otherwise it falls over pretty easily. A good product for the price overall.

Great for all ages. I got this for my niece and both my husband, myself and brother-in-law all enjoyed playing with it at well!

I have toddler twin boys, and one them tried this at a friend's house, and we had to get it. They taper off a bit when playing with it, but this is definitely something that can easily have years of fun with. I like that it teaches them coordination, and it also teaches them how to throw and direct, and catch.

The base cap was incredibly hard to get off - I had to use pliers. I shortly tried filling it with water, but it is NOT waterproof. So I will put in the sand or small gravel to keep it from tipping over less easily. And to keep my creative boys from dragging it all over the house to use as as stepping stool :)
