We bought this for my son's first birthday (we also have a 3 year old daughter) and EVERYONE loves it. The songs are primarily from the 80s, which appeal to us and there are so many buttons to push. You can speed up the music, slow it down, change songs, and add in two rythmic options by pushing buttons (for example clapping hands or someone saying 'yeah'...the two options are different for each of the 6 songs). You can also 'scratch' the record like a DJ would. As long as you keep playing with it, the music continues. When no one is playing with it, it stops (and it doesn't eat through batteries like a lot of toys if it is left in the 'on' position). For our little one, he can still 'play' just by touching buttons randomly, but for our 3 year old, she has figured out what the different functions do and can purposefully manipulate the music. We have played with other toys from the "pop tunes" line and they are all really cool. This toy was a great fit for us.

My son (now two) has had this for about a year. He loves it. The problem is, the thing starting acting fritzy and then stopped working all together. I took it apart and found it to be a bad speaker. I called Little Tikes to get a replacement and they were of no help. I ordered two different 2" speakers from Digikey. They came today and I found the cheaper one to have a better sound. If you have the same problem, order speaker 458-1134-ND. It's less than a dollar. My son is back to DJ scratching and happy as ever.

My professional DJ mixing board broke down and I had a show that very night. I brought this along and rocked the house! People were dancing and just going nuts in a mosh pit right in front. It was off the hook!

My 2-year old loves this toy. My 8-month-old loves this toy. I love this toy. 'nuff said.
