I really love this song and the way David Archuleta sings it. It reminds me of someone I once loved very much.

This is a great original song by David. I love the variation in his vocals and how pure they are. The song presents with a good message. Most of all it is a wholesome song, which is rare in today's songs. David has a rare talent, which should be treasured and supported.

David Archuleta. A fine example of wholesome it seems. He's a devout Mormon and he smiles a lot, and he seems upbeat.
Mind you, I missed almost all of season seven so forgive me if I'm all wrong. He's also a Capricorn (yes I'm into the zodiac) and the lines: "Sometimes I try to hide/what I feel inside" struck a cord with me once I heard them repeated. Capricorns can be good at hiding their true feelings inside sometimes. The lyrics aren't really deep, as usual, but I mean I like them. They show vulnerability. David also helped co-write this track, as he did Don't Let Go. Not a bad single by any means. In fact, I think it's stronger than Crush. But I guess I'm just happy it was a single, period. To his credit, I listen to this song more than once a month. I have a 4 GB iPod with over 700 songs on it and it's hard to listen to them all but this one gets played more than once, once I do play it. 4.1 stars. end note: This boy's voice is beautiful too. I'd love it if the next album wasn't so overproduced because this tracks' guitar and production do fight with David's vocal instrument in competition to see who can be heard best. But that's to be expected in a lot of today's music. If you have learned nothing at all from this review, learn that this is very good for a pop song. |
