4.0 out of 5 stars "fun-hair-raising music for Halloween trick-or-treaters", October 30, 2000
This review is from: The Little Vampire: Music from and Inspired by (2000 Film) (Audio CD)
New Line Records presents a fun-filled with non-stop beats for the Halloween Season - "The Little Vampire", sure to satisfy the most finicky blood-sucker for the evening festivities.

This tale written by Angela Summer-Bodenburg, with director Ulrich Edel, starring Johathan Lipnicki (the little smart-aleck from "Jerry Maguire") befriends a young vampire boy whose family needs an ancient amulet to become mortal again. This inoffensive kiddie movie has enough special-effects magic and cheeky humor to keep the "Big Kids" (grown-ups) from squirming too much in their seats.

The music is definitely a highlight along with the special effects..."IKO IKO" (Aaron Carter) is a trip, "SHALALA LALA" (The Vengaboys) in the morning, evening and sunshine, "FLEE FLY FLO" (Fe-Mail) party-time for all vampires, dancing up a storm, and what Halloween celebration would be complete without this next little ditty "REQUIEM (THE FIFTH)" featuring Trans-Siberian Orchestra, fits the mood and witching-hour perfectly.

Total Time: 41:51 on 12 Tracks...New Line Records 90042...(2000)

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME!, November 28, 2002

This review is from: The Little Vampire: Music from and Inspired by (2000 Film) (Audio CD)
This is a REALLY good Soundtrack! The best track is def. Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! by A*Teens! Its SO AWESOME!

However, there are some kinda stupid songs, like Dreamstreet's Lets Get Funky Tonight. They aren't even around anymore... they got broken up cuz of that song!

Other than that one song, the rest are GREAT!

5.0 out of 5 stars American Idol Finalist Has A Song on This Album, July 6, 2009
This review is from: The Little Vampire: Music from and Inspired by (2000 Film) (Audio CD)
The song "Reason I Live" is written and performed by "American Idol" season 5 finalist Ace Young. This was several years pre-Idol and he was recording using simply the name "Ace". Pretty fly for a teenager...

5.0 out of 5 stars Gimme Gimme Gimme!, May 12, 2001

This is a really good soundtrack-even if you didn't like the movie! All the songs are actually very cute, such as "Lets Get Funky" and Aaron Carter's "Iko Iko" but by far the best song is Gimme Gimme Gimme! That song is very fast, and has a spooky sound to it-I would have to say it is a hauntingly beautiful song. Definatly get this CD!

4.0 out of 5 stars Some have it...Some Don't, February 3, 2001

If you want to buy this soundtrack than you should like pop style music. I think the CD is good, although some songs take away from others. The CD is a great one to dance to, or throw in at a party. Most of the songs are good, but some aren't. "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!" has an almost annoying beat to it, and its the only one that I tend to pass up. By far the best song on the disk is DREAM STREET's "LET'S GET FUNKY TONIGHT" The song has a great beat and it doesn't irk me (yay!) The young men who sing it have great voices. They sound very talented and experienced despite the high range.
