More About the Author

My pen name "Magnolia Belle" came from a dream of one day owning a riverboat that offered dinner, sultry jazz and hot R&B while floating down the Mississippi. Realizing I didn't have the millions it'd take to get that dream off the ground, I took the name to write under. I figured it'd be one hard to forget. Plus, it's as southern as I am.

I live in Texas with my husband and our 'pack' of fuzzy children (aka dogs). Before that, I grew up in a military family and lived all across the US and in the Orient. In 1977, I got married and in 1978 I graduated with a degree in Accounting. Yeah, I know. BIG leap from accountant to novelist.

I started my company, "Black Wolf Books" in 2005 as a venue to publish and sell my work. The name "Black Wolf" comes from the first series of 5 novels I've written (and am still working on).

My characters become very real to me, and I often find myself not writing, but rather taking dictation as they tell me their stories. That's also why I tend to write in series of novels. My characters are a gabby bunch!

I hope you'll take the time to meet them. You'll probably fall in love with them just like I have, fuss at them when they do something stupid and cheer them on when they face a hard challenge. When you reach "The End" you'll feel like you've acquired a new set of friends.

All my best!

Belle

This is a fascinating story of the lives of individuals who have been through a lot of suffering. It is set in the background of two nineteenth century wars - the Civil War and the Indian war. The chronicle will touch your deepest emotions and make you reflect on how conflict can bring out both the ominous and the finer side in human beings. It has the plot which can be easily tailored to the movies.

The personal toll of war is much harder to recover. "Little Wolf Ranch" tells the story of two families recovering from the two savage wars of the nineteenth century. The Civil War and the Indian wars have both taken their toll, and only through companionship and help in each other will full recovery be possible. "Little Wolf Ranch" is a part of the T'on MA series, and is another excellent entry into it.

I found Little Wolf Ranch an exciting romp through Texas. Magnolia Belle knows how to capture the essence of the 1800's, and knows how to drive a reader into her story, take them on a wild ride, then leave them wanting more. From page one I could not put this novel down. Five stars to a fantastic read.

Blended families are a challenge in the best of times. Throw in different cultures and social conflict and it takes strength, understanding, and forgiveness to make a family truly blend.

Lanna Cooper and Liam O'Connell run into each other again after twenty years. They both survived extraordinary situations, death of a spouse, and the challenges of being a single parent. Liam is introduced to the son, Kuy Syan Joshua, he did not know he had; and Kuy Syan Joshua meets his biological father in whom he shows little interest bordering on hatred.

As his sentence for attempting to shoot General Sherman, Kuy Syan Joshua is allowed to live in the custody of Liam. Kuy Syan Joshua and his half-brothers and sister find it trying to live as the "white eyes" do. The people he and his brother, Blue, killed in raids on homesteads. Now all four Kiowa children are forced to adopt that lifestyle. Along with the trials, however, come some unexpected surprises; fudge, for example, or box socials, or perhaps a friendly game of baseball with the neighboring rancher's family.

Liam is able to acquire an old stage station, a "fixer-upper." It's large enough to accommodate Liam and his two daughters as well as Lanna and her four children and nephew. With a goal to make the station a home and the property a horse ranch, all nine people begin a new direction in life together and individually - blending.

When I compare this final book to the first T'on Ma they seem quite different but this book is charming nonetheless. This third book is really focused on the relationships between a group of intermixed Kiowa and White youths. Here we see the interaction and struggles of not only a group of young people growing up we also get see the struggles and prejudice against Native Americans. While much of this book is focused on the children of our adult protagonists we certainly do get their story as well and see how lovers separated by decades reunite and rediscover each other. This book is really a charming way to end the series - I will have to read more work by this author, she has a beautiful style of writing!

I got T'on Ma for free, then couldn't help getting the rest of the trilogy.
I love the characters, the story, the history. I am a bit disappointed about some part of the story with Blue. But he will be fine, I believe.
