Something we can do together, November 27, 2008
This review is from: Little Yogis Vol 1 (DVD)
I bought this dvd for my little sister and I'm so glad I did. My sister absolutely loves it. She loves watching the cartoons and songs before the poses, and has them memorized already. She has a lot of fun doing the poses and feels comfortable doing it with the kids in the video (the kids in the video don't always do the poses "perfectly", but just do them as best as they can while still having fun.)
I also love it, because as I'm sure anyone who has kids/younger siblings knows, kids love to watch things over and over and over again and it can get tiring after a while, but the little yogi's dvd is actually pleasant to watch. It's a kid's video but it's not corny, and I enjoy watching it too.
Most importantly, it's something that we can do together. There is a big age difference between my sister and I, but the little yogi's dvd is something we can do together. I can follow the dvd and actually get a decent workout from it, she can learn about yoga at her own pace - while having fun, and we can laugh together at how silly we look pretending to be lions, butterflies, or having a "baloon belly".
I definitely recommend it.

My kids (and I ) hated it!, September 15, 2008
This review is from: Little Yogis Vol 1 (DVD)
Both my children (ages 5 and 7) hated this video. The woman has a very strange voice, and my son literally said, "She's freaking me out!" and left the room. I bought this DVD for $[...] at a Dollar General store, and it wasn't even worth one dollar.
We have From Silly to Calm DVD by Marsha Wenig, and my kids love that. My daughter's preschool owned a copy, and she came home and raved about it all the time. I recommend that one instead.
