4.0 out of 5 stars warm contemporary, October 10, 2009
This review is from: The Littlest Matchmaker (Harlequin American Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
In Davenport, Iowa widowed single mom Lisa Kincaid owns and runs the Shortbread Cottage café. She has no plans of ever marrying again as her first time was not very good. Her focus is raising her son Jamie and making a living for them. Kevin who is a steady customer and good with kids seems like the real deal and nothing similar to her late husband.

Kevin Decker blames himself for the death of Lisa's spouse three years ago. He also has been in love with Lisa for years although he hid his feelings as she was married and then widowed. He has been there for mother and child whenever they need help but still masks how much he loves both of them. As Lisa conceals how she feels about Kevin, her four year old has plans for a new father, his pal Kevin.

The lead couple and the title character seem genuine making for a warm contemporary romance as the young child pushes the two adults in his life together although Kevin feels guilt and Lisa has doubts. Although Jamie seems too precocious, fans will enjoy this delightful contemporary second chance at love.
