What a nice story. This story is all about a very small pupmpkin's wish to be a jack o lantern.It's Halloween and there are only a few pumpkins left at the farmstand .As the people arrive to get their pumpkins the littlest pumpkin keeps hoping he will be choosen. As the day progresses the little pumpkin is still there hoping to be picked , until finally it's night time and the stand has closed and he is the only pumpkin left. The little pumpkin is heartbroken that he wasn't choosen , when suddenly some mice appear and they take him to be their jack o lantern. Now his dream has come true and he is the jack o lantern that he always wanted to be. Very cute story, nicely illustrated.

This is a sweet story and the illustrations are accomplished. A warm, non-scary Halloween mood is invoked thoughout. If you're looking for a way to get children in the spirit of a fall harvest holiday, this book will to the trick.
