A native of Spokane, Wash., Roberg's artwork has been featured in the Smithsonian Institution's national tour of American folk art and displayed and sold at other fine art exhibitions across the Southeast. His paintings have appeared in hardback books published by Abbeville Press and Abingdon Press. Roberg also works as an instructional designer for the University of Florida in Gainesville. A former pastor, he has performed original songs in venues from coast-to-coast.
Whiting moved to Nashville in 1985 to pursue a career in journalism and music. He handled publicity for the Opryland Hotel before founding his own PR firm on Nashville's Music Row in 1993. Over the years, he has represented clients ranging from Grand Ole Opry stars The Melvin Sloan Dancers and noted author Candy Paull to TV/radio personalities The Saucy Sisters and the historic Union Station Hotel. A native of Mobile, Ala., Whiting earned a music degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham (UAB) and bachelor's and master's degrees in journalism from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. He has won numerous awards for news and feature writing, as well as songwriting.
