I have been in the medical field for over 21 years. I have always used Littmann stethoscopes and this pink Littmann is my 3rd in 21 years. This is my 2nd Classic II. The price is reasonable and I find it unnecessary to pay more for a different model. The Classic II works well and is light weight. I also like the long enough tubing so that I can hear breath sounds at a comfortable distance for both me and my patients. The pink for breast cancer research is an added plus for me. I've had a black Littmann for such a long time.

The stethoscope is great, the only thing i was upset about was the color which was far from the color pink for breast cancer and the image. it's more of a peach color...

Really like the product. Using it in Nursing school. LOVE the color and the cause.

Update 15 months after purchase: Still love the stethoscope; however, the tubing can get stained by regular ink pens and, to date, have not found anything to successfully remove the stains (and I clean it a lot).

As with most Littmann stethoscopes the sound quality is alright but the color is nothing like the bright pretty pink one displayed in the first image on this page. It's not even close to pink - the only thing I can liken it to would be the mucous membrane color of an extremely anemic & slightly icteric patient. Good thing I only bought it as a spare.
Seriously considered returning it on account of being ugly.

This is my second Littmann stethoscope and I love them. I choose this one for the color (Pink, my favorite) and because a portion of the proceeds go toward breast cancer research. You are able to hear heart/lung/abodominal sounds clearly. I feel that you do not need to pay for the pricier Cardiology sethoscopes. This type does the work just as well. Some healthcare individuals choose the pricier ones, I feel, as a status symbol. You do not need to spend the extra money. Plus, you run the risk of it getting stolen in the hospital setting.
The only gripe I have about this pink stethoscope is the color in person is actually a little lighter than the computer image, otherwise a great buy!

Have had this stethoscope for 3 years now. I love that is supports a great cause and I have no complaints about its functionality. However, it does stain easily as at least one other reviewer pointed out. I have tried everything to keep it clean (pen marks, general wear and tear), but nothing has worked for me. I take pride in neatness, cleanliness and professionalism. That being said, approaching patients with a stethoscope that looks like it's been living in a junk drawer became a bit of an embarrassment. Sadly, this one stays at home now.

The littmann classicII was highly recommended comparing it to some others like the littman lightweight I can really hear the difference in sound I would highly recommend this stethoscope to other nursing students and professionals

I got this after my original Classic SE II's tubing broke (I was so sad, it was the first stethoscope I ever owned and I'd had it since nursing school!)... Instead of getting it repaired, I just decided to buy a new one. The Classic SE II works great and I prefer this model over the Littman Lightweight stethoscope I own, as I feel I can hear much better with this one.

Unfortunately, during my twelve hour shifts, I tend to wear my stethoscope around my neck the entire time unless I'm using it... However, my navy blue scrubs have stained this pink tubing and I've tried cleaning it and can't get it off. :(

Item was like shown except for color being much lighter but works well and service was good. I would buy from vendor again. Great overall!
