Amazon, You need to title this DVD!!!, May 18, 2004
This review is from: Live 2003 (DVD)
For some reason Amazon didnt put the name of the band that this "Live 2003" dvd belongs to. Well, as I'm sure you fans out there know that it is Project Pitchfork's double disc dvd. I ordered it based on the little information that amazon had. I already knew it was a two disc release that was coming out on May 18 and its got the right title so it HAD to be Project Pitchfork. This is awesome folks..One of the best ebm/electronic groups out there....very original sounds and melodies. This has hours of live performances that are fun to watch and it has interviews and music videos...It doesnt get much better than this. Enjoy.

This review is from: Live 2003 (DVD)
This DVD was something I was waiting for a long time... Finally I buy it... It sounds very nice, the show is good, but is something wrong with it... the sound is not fully cordinated with the image!!!!
But it sounds amazing, so I don't care a lot...
The second DVD is better, the videos are fine...

USA version missing features, September 5, 2007
This review is from: Live 2003 (DVD)
I waited it seemed like an eternity for the Project Pitchfork DVD to finally grace the store shelves. It boasted a full live performance, music videos, exclusive interviews, a full color booklet complete with tour diary, and more. But once it came I found that there were no interviews nor booklet. I had the US version which apparently didn't include these features. This was quite a disappointment.
The videos were excellent, the live footage was also excellent (albeit somewhat out of synch with the sound but I can dismiss that) covering a lot of musical ground throughout the PP discography, but I really wanted the entire package.
I had to buy the German version and play a P.A.L. DVD in my computer (because European discs will not work in a US-made DVD-player) to finally reap the long awaited 'inside scoop' for a dedicated fan... Alas, it was entirely in German - the interview as well as the booklet. I'm studying German but certainly am no where fluent enough to enjoy, much less understand what was being expressed. I don't get it... If over half of their material is in English, despite being a German band then why couldn't we have had english subtitles on the interview and a readable booklet geared toward the US market?
I also discovered that the interview footage on the German version replaced some of Pitchfork's best music videos that came on the US version. So, to conclude... I find it very frustrating that one has to buy both the US and German versions to get all the marketed features. I was hoping that at least US fans, like myself, would get to enjoy all the perks of the DVD in place of actually ever getting to see them tour on US soil again. Perhaps the next DVD will make some improvements.
If you're a die-hard fan, you'll want to buy this (US) version anyway. If you're just getting to know Pitchfork, wait on it...
