I can't speak for the CD release, but this was a 1982 concert recorded for radio broadcast by NBC for the NBC Young Adults Network. I actually have a copy of the vinyl that was distributed to radio stations for play over the air, including all the Honda ads that were included as they were the main sponsor of the show. Christine and John McVie, Fleetwood and Stevie Nicks show for this concert as well. The sound is excellent. I recommend this if you are into Bob Welch.

For me....
If it walks and talks like a bootleg, it probably IS a bootleg! The sound quality is not very good, the packaging is crummy, track information is so-so....There is no way that Bob Welch, would authorize the release of this concert, in this fashion. What, this could have been is a high-quality CD or double CD release of a Bob Welch show at The Roxy in Los Angeles. With guests such as: Christine & John McVie, Stevie Nicks, Ann Wilson & Mick Fleetwood, assisting Bob, and playing his great Fleetwood Mac and solo hits in front of a crazed audience on the Sunset Strip. The sound is flat and thin, on this CD. The mid-range is about all you are going to hear blasting forth. There is not enough bandwidth to get decent bottom or high-end brilliance. As a bootleg, this is about average sound, but if this was an official release, this sound isn't close to making the grade. This sounds like a home recording, lifted from an FM broadcast. And, what this could have been is a fantastic CD of stellar sound quality of Bob and Christine McVie performing wonderful versions of: "Hyponotized" and "Remember Me". Stevie Nicks, doing a live: "Gold Dust Woman", and helping Bob with backing vocals on a killer rendition of: "Ebony Eyes." And then, there is: "Rattlesnake Shake" with all of Fleetwood Mac {except for Lindsey Buckingham} on fire and hittin' the note on this Peter Green's classic. Ann Wilson, is onboard at the very end of this disc, performing a blues number that fades within 30 seconds of her verse being sung {no track information, on this.} This is the last straw on this CD that promises to deliver, and throws you into the ditch....again! In the right hands, this CD would be an essiential addition to any proper Fleetwood Mac record collection, but as is.... 2.5 Stars
