Hall and Oates Live and Revisited,

I generally like when veteran groups come together after a long hiatus and do a live album. These efforts often bring arrangements that, like a fine wine maturing with age, become something really special. Hall and Oates 80s studio work always seemed to prissy for me-as I tapped my foot to their numerous hits and repeated their lyrics to myself. However, in Live at the Troubadour, Hall and Oates hits become delicious and gritty.
Their back up band is fantastic! If you only like the "buttoned up" Hall and Oats, you may not like this album, however if you want to hear some great oldies with new arrangements and tons of soul, you'll like Live at the Troubadour.

I've always loved these guys & I love this item. Another reviewer had noted Hall sounded a little flat. I don't know if maybe he was a little under the weather when this was recorded, but I agree, he wasn't firing on all cylinders - but he still sounded good, so don't get it twisted! They did all the big hits & ones that had gotten by me. I thoroughly enjoy listening to this music.
