those who dispute the influence that lonnie mack has had on the evolution of rock and blues music, need to kick back, listen to this cd, readjust, and just admit...that lonnie is indeed a guitar legend...his signature flying v, powerful and soulful vocals, and solid song writing will go down in music history as a candidate for the rock and roll hall of fame....this cd proves he never lost his desire or licks, he is merely tuning up for another attack...long live lonnie mack....

I've owned this CD for many years, and it's one of a handful that's always on the play list. Probably not a month goes by when I don't listen to it once. Phenomenal guitar, a lot of energy, and excellent sound quality for a live performance. Mack is one of the great guitar players and makes it all seem effortless. My favorite track is Stop, but I pretty much listen to the whole album every time.

lonnie mack is a guitar genius with an incredible singing voice, too!.....this cd is live and it is great....everyone who likes blues/rock should have this cd in their collection.....lonnie single-handedly bridged the old style of rock guitar playing with the new style back in the 60's; he is a national treasure!

It's an uncomprehensive situation, the fact that this tremendous guitarman is still at the underground for many rock'n roll & blues fans all over the world. This cd is for me,one of the best rock/blues "Live" albums ever released! Stevie Ray Vaughan was his most important disciple, and it's clearly along all of this marvellous cd.An incendiary, set of powerful good music at "Live"way!!! This album is really one of my favorites!!!

Do yourself a huge favor. Buy this CD and play it loud and often. My tastes tend to lean toward progressive rock and classical music, but this CD scratches an itch that few can reach. Stop has got to be one of the greatest blues rock songs ever. For those keeping score at home:Songwriting A Roll over Beethoven, Maestro Mack is on the podium!

I bought this CD solely because I loved a duet by Lonnie & Stevie Ray Vaughn that I heard on the Midnight Blues station on iTunes (Midnight Blues is now off the air, damn it). I do like "Attack" a lot but I confess that I was rather hoping/expecting a sound a little more like that of Corey Stevens or Stevie Ray himself. And I think a live-recorded album (oops -- showing my age) is generally not the best way to acquaint oneself with a "new" artist: the audience noise is too distracting for a first-time listener. With all that said, "Attack" is indeed an excellent recording and I certainly recommend it.

I love this cd. I saw Lonnie Mack play in 1992 at the blues fest in Peoria,IL. I got to go backstage and the man and even partied with him! He is very nice and down to earth. It was an experience that I will never forget.

Great work from an under-rated guitar genius,

Great work can be heard throughout this recording. From the crowd singing along on Natural Disaster to the the blending of Camp Washington Chili with If You Have to Know (which does not seem to lack a bit even without Stevie ray Vaughn playing and singing on this cut. Now if we could only get them to (Epic that is) to re-release Roadhouses and Dancehalls I'd be a happy man!

I watched Lonnie Mack play in a bar in Cincinnati, Ohio when I was fifteen years old. He was great then and he is even greater on this album. Attack of The Killer V ranks as one of the best live albums ever recorded. The only complaint I have it is not long enough.
