If you're looking for an introduction to Asleep At The Wheel, this is an excellent sample. You will see them do one toe tappin' (or boot scootin') tune after another and then lead singer, Ray Benson takes on Eddy Arnold's "You Don't Know Me" and makes it his own. They pay tribute to Bob Wills, the father of western swing by inviting former members of his group, The Texas Playboys (ca 1940), to join them on stage to sing and play. I was only disappointed by their slowing down the tempo of their hit, "Route 66", to match the original Playboys' version. I look forward to Asleep At The Wheel putting out more DVDs.

Outstanding!!!! You get Asleep at the Wheel (which is a 7 piece band), plus, you get 4 remaining members of Bob Will's Texas Playboys. This concert was filmed October 14, 1992. You get 14 great songs, featuring their favorites: "Hot Rod Lincoln", "Corine Corina", and "Boogie Back to Texas".

The approx. run time is 65 minutes. This is a great concert. Ray Benson does an excellent job as the lead man. Plus, it's a special treat to see these 4 remaining "Texas Playboys". If you like "Western Swing", or Texas Country Rock, then you should love this one. Thanks!!!!!
